We were all shocked and some of the dancers where traumatized as Abby was taken away by the police and Chloe was taken to the hospital. After the ambulance drove away with Chloe and Christi, we were silent.
Finally, dad speaks up, "Chloe will be okay, but I'm afraid some of us," he looks around at our parents, "will have to show up for a trial against Abby as witnesses."
The idea of this whole thing being so serious and having to go to court gave me a shiver down my spine.

"We are here for the case of Lukasiak vs. Miller, Ms. Miller willingly attacked Ms. Chloe Lukasiak at an ice cream shop in an attempt to steal a trophy that Ms. Chloe Lukasiak won at a dance competition earlier that day." The judge's powerful voice says to the courtroom.
I look at Chloe, in a full-body cast, and Mrs. Lukasiak in a nice blue and green dress.
I look over at Abby, she stood there, in a prison uniform, with handcuffs on. She looked mad.
Mad at Chloe.
Mad at Mrs. Lukasiak.
Mad at dad.
And somehow, someway, I felt that she was also mad at me.
