My Time

All of my life I've been trying to please people.

I've been seeing after other people's approval.

I've been seeking after their validation.

I've been trying to make others happy.

I've been trying to move at their pace instead of my own.

I've jumped head first into situations and ended up landing right on my face all because I was afraid of not allowing someone to not have their way with me.

I've gotten my heart broken trying to prevent someone else's heart from getting broken.

I have dropped my wants and needs to meet others needs and wants.

I have moved on other people's time for the longest.

Now I'm all about moving on my time. -J.S.
