When you're dead

Someone died.

'Omg, what happened?'

'I just talked to them yesterday

'They looked so happy; I had no idea.'

'I was just thinking about them the other day.'

Really.

Now you care.

Now this person is dead and suddenly you're so concerned now.

Get the hell on with that crap.

Fuck your tears.

You probably haven't seen or talked to this person in years.

How selfish can you be?

This person has been miserable for a while.

This person has been in pain for a while.

A long ass while.

And now you care?

Fuck that and fuck you.

People are selfish.

They'll use someone's death as their opportunity to release whatever guilt they have going on inside of them.

Whatever closure you didn't get while they were living, don't expect to get it now that they are dead.

Don't use somebody's funeral to release whatever guilt you got on for not visiting them or talking to them or doing right by them when they were alive.

When this person was alive you practically treated them like they were dead.

They might as well have been dead with the way you failed to acknowledge them.

Now they've transitioned on and you wanna act like you were everything to them?

Probably couldn't call to ask if they have eaten.

Have you asked if they slept well?

Have you asked about their mental or physical health?

No, you didn't.

But now surprisingly your face is super wet from tears because they died?

Fuck out of here with those fake ass tears.

You didn't care then.

So why the hell do you care now?

You wouldn't bring them a cup of water or plate of food while they were living, but now that they are dead you want to bring them some flowers now?

Some flowers that they can't even smell.

Keep those fake ass flowers to yourself.

You wouldn't bring them to the person while they were living, so keep that same energy.

People disgust me.

Always waiting until it's too late to care.

Always waiting until it's too late to love somebody.

Always waiting until it's too late to treat somebody like they're somebody.

You're somebody that gets treated like a nobody when you're living.

Then suddenly you're a nobody that gets treated like somebody when you're dead.

You're a nobody when you're living.

You're somebody when you're dead. -J.S.
