Quackity POV-
Footsteps.
Heavy footsteps is all I hear.
Each step I take brings me back a memory at Las Nevadas.
Every laugh.
Every yell.
Every teaching.
It goes back to this place.
I stop and stand still.
I sigh, using all my strength to pull my head to face what's in front of me.
Fuck, can I even face him?
All I see ahead of me in this long and dark corridor is Slime's body. Standing still as his head falters downwards. Looking dead as always.
"Hey buddy, It's me Quackity from Las Nevadas..." I smile slightly as I hold back tears.
I look down to my hands, "I'm back." I smiled slightly. "I'm still doing research about slimes and everything... I haven't found out much but I'm trying to figure out what we can do." I look up at him, only wanting to hear his voice one more time. "Cause its' been weeks, you don't walk, you don't talk... I don't even know if you remember me." My shoulders that was once held up high, lose its' strength of what I've become. What Slime has become. "Uhh... Anyways, I've brought a couple more chapters of what we've done. I'm writing everything we did and everything I taught you... So, that maybe one day you'll be able to to read them and remember everything we've gone through... I hate that your dream to remember your past life had to come to an end, even though we could've found out so much more. But, I don't know why I had a part of me to not want you to discover more of you life as a God... Maybe I just thought you would leave me."
"But would that even matter right now...I'm already losing you"
Silence engulfed the room. Just empty silence.
"You know, when I write these books, It feels like I'm writing a story. And it feels weird referring you as 'Slime'." I chuckle quietly. " You're more than slime, you're human... Remember the day when you told me you're real name. It may take me some time to get use to it, but I promise you, you won't be hearing me say Slime anymore." I step closer to Charlie's body, I lift my hand to his face, and caress it softly. But my heart drops that I realize he won't react to what I do to him, he probably won't even feel my touch anymore. My hand drops down to my side, "Anyways, I've been well, I just been stuck in my library while Foolish has been taking some things for me... I hope I can hear you talk one day and hear you tell some of your silly jokes... I really miss that."
"Anyways." I open a chest beside Charlie. "I'll leave these books in here, incase if you ever look inside the chess...Wait."
As I drop the books inside, I see another book in the corner of the chest. I take it out and say, "There's one more book than normal here... Is this mine?"
I open the first page and found letters scattered around the book randomly. "what?" I turn to the next page, seeing different variations of scattered letters.
"You did this?" I look up from the book. "Was this book yours?? D-Did you write something!" A light of hope flickered inside of me. "B-But it doesn't say anything. It's just scribbles..."
"Are you there Charlie. I-I don't know what this means I-I." A try to talk but all that's spilling out of my mouth was gibberish. I'm so surprised, but I know this means something.
