"No, I don't think so. I'm in such a different spot than I was back then. I know I said I'd always take care of you but now everything's weird asf. You did what you did and I felt how I felt so now it is what it is you know"

"But it doesn't have to be like that" she's pleading with me

"Idk what you saw in me back then but I told you it's different. I don't even know who you are anymore."

"Let's get to know each other then" she pauses "let me take you out sometime"

"I'm actually seeing someone"

The truth is I'm not, but hopefully she'll be okay with me using her to get out of this situation.

She looks crushed, I see her try to speak but she can't, she looks down at her drink and places her hand over it. I glance over and she's since downed it.

"I still love you"

"No you don't, you don't miss me, you miss the feeling you got when we were together, I'm promise I'm replaceable. Any one of these guys out there can give you exactly what I did"

I take my drink and use it to point to all the guys on the dance floor. I'm a bit upset now to be honest.

Everyone told me she was crazy max manipulating me throughout our entire relationship but I refused to believe it and continued on against my friends better judgment.

"You know you're different, you know you deserve the best" she says looking as though she's about to cry

"Thank you, I'm trying" I sip my drink till it's finished

I notion to the bartender and he sets a glass down that he was polishing. Meanwhile I turn and ask Iris if she wants another drink

"I'll take another one of these" I motion to my drink

"And another one for her please and thank you" the bartender nods his head and moves to make the drinks

"Thank you" she says with hopeful eyes

"No issue  just trying to enjoy the night"

"So when are we going out" all of a sudden she's flirty and playful there's that manipulation thing everyone was talking about

"It'll be a cold day in hell"

The bartender sets Down our new drinks and it couldn't have be more perfectly timed
I sip my drink thinking about how I'm not going to get out of this.

"Okay fine but here"
She reaches for my side and I instinctively move out of the way

"Woah, what are you doing" I say dodging her hand

"Give me your phone" Iris says with an angry look on her face

"For what"

"To give you my number" she states this matter of factly which bothers me to my core. I hand her my phone simply so I can get this over with.

"That wasn't so hard was it" she's smiling so widely it's bothering me. I want to get as far away from her as possible so I try to rush this interaction.

"There we go, let me know if you change your mind"
She smiles hands me my phone and downs her drink she then wanders over to the dance floor
