CHAPTER 6

ELIJAH ROMANO

From the moment I saw my bambina in the warehouse. I can't stop thinking that it is all our fault. We should have stopped dad from sending her to Evelyn. Maybe she would be safe with us in our house no matter what danger there would be we would protect her with our lives.

I wonder where dad is. I wanted to say him we found Alice  but we couldn't reach him no matter what. We don't know where he is. 

We have been searching for Evelyn and Alice but we couldn't find them. More than 10 years of searching but we couldn't find them as if they vanished from the face of earth.

Dad was guilty that he sent her to Evelyn. He was the ex-capo of the mafia as soon as Ace was capable of handling the mafia he handed the mafia and the legal business to him and left to search Alice.

I wish we could at least inform him that we found her but it was not possible unless he wants to communicate with us we couldn't.

I was broken when Sophia said the state bambina is I couldn't believe there are people who could do this to a child. But I will find them all and I will kill them. No one can touch my family and enjoy their lives.

And when I saw her in the hospital room I couldn't stop my tears.

Now we are waiting for Sophia to come with the results. I know what the test is about and I hope it is negative. 

Sophia came in the corridor and all our attention was on her now. She came closer and said

"I would like to speak with her Ace as he is her guardian alone "

" NO we are her brothers. " Nathaniel said

"We have the right to know about our sisters health " Issac countinued

Ace gave a look to them and they shut their mouths

"Ok. I would like Elijah to come with me" Ace said

"okay come on" Sophia says 

We entered her cabin. She sat on her chair gesturing us to sit too. We sat and we were waiting for her to say something but she didn't speak.

"It's been 5 minutes can you just say if everything is fine Sophia?" Ace says calmly

"It is really hard for me to say this but Alice... Alice was raped multiple times" Sophia says

"No this can't be true " I say

She looks at me sadly and says " I would never lie about such a thing you and it is true her vaginal area is damaged" 

I couldn't say a word after this. Ace too was quiet but I could see he is trying to control his anger.

*One week later*

Dr. Sophia was checking on Alice while I and Ace were standing outside.

She comes out with a smile on her face " There is a lot of improvement. But I think it will take some time for her to wake up and regain her stamina" she says

"I think we should take her home with us so we could take care of her properly" I say 

" Yes you can take her home as long as you are taking care of her fluids and her health all the pipes and wires are removed except for the IV so you can take her home. And make sure you give her IV as described " she says 

"As long as Ace is fine with this and signs the discharge papers you can take her home" she adds

" I am sure we can take care of her at home. And I will leave to sign the papers. Elijah you take care of her." Ace says

The twins are home taking care of Issac, and Alex is  torturing the Russians from the warehouse who weren't killed and Arthur is hunting down Russians. 

I open whatsapp to inform the others.

 THE ROMANO SIBILINGS

Me: We are bringing stella home in an hour.

Issac: Really?

Nathaniel: We will keep the house ready

Alex: I will be done here and meet you all at home.

 I switch my phone off and go inside and pack all the things. Ace comes in and carries Alice. We exit the hospital with guards assigned to protect us. We sit in the car and reach home in an hour.

We enter and all of them were waiting happily to see Alice back. Alice is being carried by Ace and I was carrying all her meds and IV's .

We go to her room which was beautifully decorated by Nathaniel, Ace places Alice on the bed gently. 

"One of us will be here with her all the time. When we are not available a maid will be assigned and there will be guards guarding her room from inside and outside the room under her balcony two trusted guards will be assigned." Ace said

Everyone agreed to him. 

*after two days* 

It was my turn to be with her in the noon. I was sitting beside her when I noticed a moment beside me. I turned to look and bambina was stirring awake. 

She opened her beautiful eyes and looked up to the ceiling and was staring at the ceiling for a few seconds. She looked here and there and finally she looked at me. She got scared, there was fear in her eyes. 

She scooted away from me. 

I tried to calm her. She calmed down  closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

This kept on going for everyday with each of us except for Arthur 

I was relieved that our bambina was recovering. 

I hope she will recover faster and we could make up to her. 

*after two weeks*

I was sitting beside Alice when she stirred awake. She looked around then she looked at me.

I smiled at her. She was staring at me as if I did something bad.

"Hi bambina I am your brother " I said

I informed in the group that Alice woke up.

"Would you like to eat something " I asked

She didn't give me any reply

Issac and the twins rushed in the room. 

Alice was alerted at this.

" Don't worry bambina, they are your brothers. Guys introduce yourself" I said 

"HI I AM ISSAC THE YOUNGEST BROTHER and I am 18 " issac said

"Hello bambina I am Nathaniel and this is my twin Noah. We are 19 " Nate said 

no reply again

I got worried. I don't think she is going to speak anytime soon.
