CHAPTER 26

I finish my breakfast and look up to see Alex is speaking to someone on his phone and  Ace is gone and Steve too.

"It's ok you can go with Elijah and don't worry everything will be fine" Arthur says 

"Yeah right and you haven't done anything wrong" Noah says 

"YES he would just scold you here if you did something wrong " Nate says

I look at Issac and see he is quietly looking at everything and everyone.

"Are you fine Issac" I ask him 

" yes I am fine bambina just worried about school" he says. I smile at him 

"Is there any problem going on at school Issac?" Elijah asks 

he shakes his head " no just thinking about my math test" he says 

"Ok, let's go" Elijah says

I nod at him and we walk to Ace's office 

We enter the office without a knock I look around "Come sit Magnolia" Ace says

I sit on the chair in front of his desk and look at my fingers and think

Why did he want me here?

What does he want to do with me in his office? talk?

Oh. What does he want to tal-

Ace clears his throat " I want to talk to you about something if you are comfortable that is" 

I nod " Ok?"

"So about the breakfast you can forget it dad seems a little upset, he will come around you don't need to worry about him at all" he says

Ok he is one of the people that I don't want to be around but I just say "OK" 

There is an uncomfortable silence in the room I look around his beautiful office and look back to him to see he and Elijah are talking with their eyes.

I stare at Ace for a second " Can I go now?" I ask 

"No,    I want to talk to you about something else too " he says 

"ok" I say 

"Are you hiding something from us by any chance?" he asks

I- " No I am not hiding anything from all of you I guess" 

"are you sure ? you can tell anything to me- to us, we will always be by your side" He says 

"are you sure?" I ask now 

"What?" 

"That you will be by my side" I ask him 

"Yes we will always bambina " Elijah say

" Ok " I take a deep breathe 

"I am not telling you a few things but I am not completely hiding from everyone, I have shared it with Noah" I say

"yes I know " He says

Did he tell everyone about my nightmares and my flashbacks?

What is this why is everyone getting to know about this thing

"We had a chat with Alex, Arthur and Noah" WHAT EVERYONE IS INVOLVED IN THIS WHO I AM SUPPOSED TO TRUST NOW

"They didn't tell me anything Magnolia" Ace says

"How can I be sure of it after you admit that you were talking about me behind my backs with them and they broke their promise " I say with a low voice

"I asked them but they didn't say anything to me  except how you left the house and saying that they promised you" he says 

"WHY ARE YOU SAYING EVERYTHING IN BITS" I shout at him

"sorry " 

"It's ok I just didn't know how to ask you" He says

I am happy that my brothers didn't break my promise 

"So what do you want me to do now?" I ask him 

"I want you to trust and say us if there is any issue we can solve it and as promised we will be by your side " Ace says

I look at him for a few seconds and think-

he always protected me and was always there for me 

but he also never said anything when his father was rude to me 

But today he was by my side

"Today at the table why did you go against your father" I ask him

" because I saw that you were uncomfortable and I saw a tear escape your eyes" he says

"I was always uncomfortable when your father was around me why didn't you say anything then why did you go against him now" I say

"Yes I know I didn't go against him but I just saw how desperately he was trying to find all these years and how much he missed you, I just wanted you to have a good relation with dad" 

I scoff " I don't want a good relation with your father" 

"Magnolia I  understand what he did to you in the past was bad but I request you to give him another chance" He says

"Are you forcing me to talk to him because you have my custody?" I ask him

"No I just-" Ace starts

"I don't want anything to do with him and just a few minutes ago you said you will be by my side" I say

"Yes  I am and I will always be by your side, but can you trust me and share with me what you shared with Noah?" he asks

"Ace I really trust you but I don't think you will trust me above your family or choose me above them so I don't want to make any mistakes and be in a bad spot at the moment. I hope you understand" I say

"yes I understand but I will always be by you and I will always choose you whatever or whenever" He says

"Will you choose me when the time comes" I ask him

he nods "Always "

"me too bambina" I smile at Elijah 

"we will always fulfil your wishes AND demand" Ace says

I look at him and feel sad that they are trying to be nice to me and I haven't shared anything with them.

"I want to share something" I look at Ace " Only one thing I don't want to stress you or create any misunderstandings " I say 

Ace nods " I- think your father is the reason I have been tortured?" I ask

"ok, is this the reason you want to stay away from dad?" Ace asks

I nod 

he looks at me "Ok magnolia you can go and study now" He says

I exit his room in few seconds sensing his anger

Did I do wrong by telling them?
