Old memories

As Danielle is making breakfast for herself and Haerin, the sky suddenly turned grey and water droplets poured down

The smell of freshly made pancakes filled up their place

"Haerin-ah! Breakfast is done, honey!"

Haerin is packing their stuff into suitcases as theyre about to spend a week at Danielle's parent's home. She walked over to Danielle and gave her a kiss

"Thank you for the food!"

They eats their pancakes while talking to each other about what they'll do. After their breakfast is finished, Haerin does the dishes while Danielle finish up packing and changed her clothes

They're both wearing a matching set of navy-blue cardigan but since Danielle gets cold easily she also has a belted trench coat on her

Haerin is driving while Danielle is texting her friends on her phone

Danielle:
Im so excited!!

Haerin:
You should get some sleep, you woke up pretty early this morning

Danielle:
Im fine!

*texting*

Danielle:
Im so excited!!!

Hanni:
So much memories from highschool! I still remember when Haerin said she loves you through the school's speakers loll

Danielle:
That was so adorable of her

Hanni:
How long are you staying?

Danielle:
Around a week

Hanni:
Have fun!! Dont forget to take photos and send them to me!

In the car during their trip they talked about how they first met and how their relationship grew more lovey over time

Danielle:
Remember when you first kissed me in the library?

Haerin:
Of course, how could i forget? We made out by the end of the week and got caught by the principle

Danielle:
Youve always been so rough with me during our make out sessions~

Haerin:
You always seem to enjoy it a lot though, even the first time we kissed, you kissed me back before pushing me away

Danielle:
I guess you could say it was love at first kiss

After 30 minutes or so they stopped at a rest stop to use the bathroom and freshen up

"Haerin-ah! Haerin-ah!"

Danielle signaled Haerin to go into the backseat with her

Haerin:
What?

Danielle hugged Haerin tightly and kissed her

Danielle:
We might get a little busy once we get to my parent's house so i want to get my cuddles in now

Haerin wrapped her arms around the other girl, they stayed in the backseat cuddling and kissing each other

Danielle:
Hey Haerin-ah

Haerin:
Yes?

Danielle:
If we get married I want to take your last name

Haerin:
Why is that? Marsh sounds cuter

Danielle:
Nuh-uh! Kang Dani and Kang Haerin sounds way cuter!

Haerin:
Haerin Marsh and Danielle Marsh doesnt sound too bad either

They argued for 5 minutes straight about who's last name they'll take when they get married. Haerin finally gave in and accepted that they'll be Mrs. Kang Dani and Mrs. Kang Haerin

They continued to cuddle with each other in the backseat

Haerin:
We should get going now

Danielle:
Just 3 more minutes..

Danielle snuggled up into Haerin's chest, they stayed in each other's embrace for 10 more minutes

After an hour of driving, they finally arrived at Danielle's childhood home and the sky has finally cleared up

Haerin is taking their stuff out from the trunk and carry the suitcases into the house while Danielle ran hand-free to the front door and gave her parents a big hug as soon as she sees them

After a minute or two Haerin finally got all of their stuff into the house. She greeted Danielle's parents as she sees them. Danielle's parents cant help but chuckle as they see how Haerin carry everything while their daughter isn't carrying anything

Danielle's mom:
We'll finish up making the food, why dont you guys go put your stuff away?

Danielle walked up to her room while Haerin is still carrying all of their luggage. They carefully set their stuff down and Danielle flopped right onto the bed

Everyone is sitting at the dining table besides Danielle's sister, she's currently overseas due to busy and she will arrive a couple days later. They all enjoyed their dinner together with delicious foods and brought up happy memories

Haerin:
Ma'am, your braised kimchi is so good!

Danielle's mom:
Then make sure you eat a lot!

Haerin smiled

Danielle's dad:
Are you guys getting married anytime soon? I'd really love a grandchild!

(Author's note: in my stories, the world that the two is living in is possible to make a kid between a woman and woman.)

Danielle:
Dad!!

Haerin:
Im not sure about the grandchild part It'd be nice to get married eventually

Danielle blushed and smiled as she remembered their conversation earlier about whos last name they're going to choose

Once everyone finished with their food, Danielle and Haerin went to the high school where they met. They took the same walking path as they did back then

Danielle:
We made so many memories here in this town, this town will always have a special place in my heart

Haerin pointed to the big apple tree in the park

Haerin:
We made out there

Danielle:
Oh yeah! We did and then we got caught by my dad..

Once they arrived at their high school, memories started rushing in, they go through the whole school and every room that they've been in. They even visit the equipment room; where they first made out. They also went to the library, a place that holds dearly in their heart as to this exact place is where their love story began

They walked to the principle office and to their surprise, principle Rose is still in her office

Principle:
Omg.. Danielle and Haerin!? Its been so long!!

Haerin & Danielle:
We missed you!!

Principle:
You guys grew up well, and it seems you still are lovey dovey like ever. I still remember all the trouble you caused here

The principle teased the two. They talked for an hour or so before principle went home, the couple went back to the library and took a seat on the exact table that they used to sit at for their secret lunch dates

Haerin:
Im glad i met you.. i can't imagine my life without you

Danielle kissed Haerin

Danielle:
Lets stay together.. forever. Even if we become old grannies and die and get reborn. I promise, i'll find you again in every life
