Gaea went out into the streets, walking and making her way to the cove, the place her best friends constantly hang out in, a warm cozy cave by the beach that they redecorated and fitted to make it a comfortable hang out place. She was still worried sick but trying to calm herself, her boyfriend having quite a sick day, resting in bed on his own. On the way she saw a huge gathering, the streets were packed, multiple people singing, celebrating, with different statues being raised in Asphodel square.
"Oh... right, damn it" she muttered. Her usual path was blocked, she had forgot that today was THAT day. The return of Persephone, the queen of the underworld, to Olympus, announcing the beginning of spring. It was one of the most popular festivals and celebrations. Different stores selling multiple new products celebrating the return of the goddess of harvest. That explained all the traffic and busy streets. She sighed as she took a different route. It was longer, but oh well. Eventually she made it to the beach. Even THAT was busy, as she expected. She went on, going forward to their secluded cave. She went up and knocked on the door, with the sound of crashing waves and loud people in the background.
"Who is it?" She heard Atlas ask on the other side of the door
"Who do you think you idiot" she replied
"I need an identification sorry"
"IM GAEA"
"What's the password"
"Atlas fuck off"
"Wrong password sorry you gotta stay out"
"ATLAS" She yelled as she heard some laughing and some footsteps before Apollo finally opened the door, smiling
"Oh? Where's Rex?" Apollo asked
"He isn't... feeling too well, he said he's gonna stay home and rest" Gaea replied
"Oh? What's wrong is he ill?" Apollo asked as she stayed silent for a bit "
It's just a fever, don't worry" she smiled as they got deeper inside and sat on the couch, with Atlas and Dionysus resuming their console game on the TV
"Wait so he isn't coming tonight?" Hestia asked
"He said he'd prefer to stay home yea-" she said before being interrupted
"NO GOD DAMN IT YOURE CHEATING" Atlas yelled as he vigorously tapped around in his controller
"I'm just better. Sobek play for me I'm getting a drink" Dionysus replied as he put his controller on the table and two lizards walked up and held the controller, one on each joystick
"I don't think I'll make it either" Apollo said as he strummed on his lyre
"What? No why?!" Hestia asked as she licked her ice cream
"I got my night shift you guys, you know this. I've been going on so many vacations I've missed a lot of shifts I don't really have excuses to not go this time. I work in a hospital I can't keep missing like this." Apollo said
"Apollo if you don't come I will literally cry so much it will make a puddle and I will push Gaea into it and she will slip and fall over and die" Atlas said
"Please Apollo I don't wanna die" Gaea added
"Damn well I don't want that to happen" Apollo said
"Yeah so you're coming" Hestia said
"No" Apollo replied
"Gaea I'm still gonna push you even if he comes" Atlas said as he continued playing
