Chapter 5 - Typhon's Scheme

Hestias heart sank as they all saw what was going on

The Demeter district of the sister towers had erupted. There was a massive explosion in the middle of the tower. Sending flames roaring up the tower and smoke filling the sky

"What the- WHAT HAPPENED?!" Hemera yelled and they saw as they gigantic crowd scrambled and screamed causing chaos, and all of a sudden the screams got louder as they could hear gunshots firing, guns blazing and people screaming, as Julius and Julia looked at each other

"You think it's...?" She asked

"...the cult of Tartarus?" He replied

"The WHAT????" Dio asked

"An extremist terrorists group that support Lord Hades. They believe he was supposed to be the king of the gods, and believe Persephone should stay in the underworld, among other things" Julius explained

"WHAT SO THEY BLOW UP THE ENTIRE DEMETER DISTRICT?!" Hemera asked

"My... brother is in there. Hephaestus, is in there. HE IS IN THAT TOWER" Hestia yelled as she panicked

"...your brother?" Aether mumbled

"We have to move." Julia said as she suddenly jumped forward and rushed into the crowed with Julius following her

"WE'LL COVER YOU GUYS! RESCUE THE CIVILIANS AND WORK TOGETHER FOR ONCE!" Julius said as they both disappeared into the crowd

"What the- What do they mean they'll cover us? WHO ARE THESE TWO" Hermes yelled "HOW ARE WE MEANT TO RESCUE THEM WITHOUT BEING SEEN USING OUR POWER?! THE GODS WILL PUNISH US IF WE-" Gaea panicked

"HOLD ON! HEPHAESTUS!" Hestia yelled as she jumped up and blasted forward, her legs blazing with burning flames and sending her soaring up into the sky

"Wh- HESTIA WAIT YOU CANT JUST-" Dio said as they also saw another purple blast, as Aether flew upwards also flying towards the tower

"AETHER! Why cant NONE OF YOU EVER FUCKING TALK!" Hermes yelled

Suddenly, Cupid looked at Atlas and rushed to him. Out of no where, he tightly held onto Atlas's head and his hand started glowing. Atlas shut his eyes and grit his teeth as he started straining as he tried to nudge Cupid off

"What the- fuck are you doing?! Does this look like the time to-" He said before getting interrupted

"JUST SHUT UP AND LET ME DO IT!" Cupid yelled and let go after a while. Atlas's whole body let out a light glow, his veins and muscles pumped, he could feel every drop of blood pumping inside him, as Atlas raised an eyebrow, confused, looking at his body, not knowing what he just did "Hermes!" Cupid said as Hermes rushed over to him and Cupid put his hand on his head as well, and after a moment, the same thing happened to Hermes

"What did you-" Atlas asked

"You two handle all the the falling debris! Gaea, you and I will go get the people out the building. Hemera, Dionysus, you go up there and support Aether and Hestia!" He said

"Why would we listen to ANYTHING YOU SAY?" Gaea

"Oh my GODS! JUST LISTEN TO ME! PEOPLE ARE DYING JUST GO! TRUST ME!" He yelled as after a few reluctant traded looks, Atlas rushed forward, with Hermes following behind

The explosion caused gigantic stones and pipes of metal to break off and fall, enormous fragments of the infrastructure of one of the largest towers and complexes in Athens raining down like meteorites

"Clear the area, I'll try to shield you" Hermes said as Atlas looked at the giant stampeding crowd. He raised his arm, as it glowed more, and suddenly let out a gigantic yet gentle wave, a current aimed at the crowed that gently pushed them back and out of the way, trying to put them out of the impact zones as at the same time, Hermes stomped on the floor and raised his arms, making an enormous wall of hard rock to rise out of the ground, hundreds of meters tall and many meters thick, as it curved and created a barrier, making all the falling debris slam into it rather than hit the ground and impact people.
