Chapter 32 - The Demons confront the Serpent

Spinning his leg in a perfect circle, Geb made the ground quake and as he stomped his foot down, and sent waves of rumbling in all directions, stumbling the soldiers rushing around him

"When I told Hathor I wanted to tour Gothenburg together this is NOT what I had in mind..." He panted

"Stay focused, it's not over" Nüt added, flying in from above and blasting comets at the other group of soldiers "Guns... how archaic" She murmured

"I mean we're literally using superpowers we aren't any better"

"We're honored by the gods, it's not 'superpowers' Geb- GET DOWN!" She blasted up and his eyes widened as he sank into the ground, as another wave of soldiers fired rockets a them. Clouds of smoke rising high into the air

"Nüt there's too many of them!" Geb yelled in a bit of a worry

"Hold your ground, we'll stop them here and now" She replied, frustrated blasting more comets and holograms at the buildings making the rubble fall on the soldiers, but they just kept coming, blasting more and more rockets

"'Ha:tip t'i ni'si waʔ 'Ha:ruw Niçin Was'ji:riʔ ha'rij-jib!" They heard someone scream as suddenly a solar flare blasted the place, sending a bright golden flame burning through with waves of golden Khopesh flying from within, and Geb peeked out the ground

"...thank you Ra" Geb said

"Hehe, be careful guys. Lord Horus is calling for a regroup, come on" He smiled as his golden wings of flame blasted upwards, quickly followed by the other two

After a bit of flying they made it back to the reconnaissance camp, where they saw hundreds of Kemetic soldiers running around, with their friends in the middle

Ra's eyes widened as he saw Anubis's hand glowing as it was held on tightly to Nephthys's arm

"Woah, what happened? Are you okay?" Ra asked

"Someone managed to sneak up to her perch and caught her of guard. Because she didn't heed my advice" Anubis explained as he healed her

"Oh give it a rest, I'm fine" she replied. Lord Horus suddenly flew in front of them from above, making them all instantly get into position onto their knees. His wings wide and golden, his armor shining

"Excellent work Powerholders. You continue to prove the standards of the ennead. Thanks to your efforts, Halmstad has been captured. Remember, your efforts are here to liberate the people of Scandinavia, with each day we are closer to our goal. Unfortunately there has been a diversion in our plans. Prince Khonshu has informed me of a village to the north. There seems to be a terrorist resistance group that has managed to repel our forces without fail. The prince has mentioned the troops there are requesting back up, and so you will be relocated to aid them" The god explained

"Is... Khonshu okay?" Ra asked

"He is doing fine. The gods urge him to stay away from battle but he is insisting on his participation on the battle fronts, yet it is still crucial we make haste"

"Yes Lord Horus! King of Kemet!" They all yelled in unison

"The caravan will come and pick you up. Regroup and get ready" The god said. He was the patron of kingship, protection, and the skies themselves. The divine ruler of the most powerful kingdom on the planet, and so he took it upon himself to personally be at the frontlines of this military move
