***As always, our Prince Daeron***

Prince Daeron Targaeyn arrived back in King's Landing that morning with a proud smile painted across his face as he wandered the halls, admiring his former family home. The young prince had been sent to Oldtown when they were all young children, so he had a different type of connection to his family. Though it wasn't like the ones who grew up in the Red Keep together were particularly close anyways.

Instead of going to greet his family right away or even make his presence known, he decided to wander his former childhood home. He couldn't wait for his permanent return to the castle. Though he did enjoy the power his title held in Oldtown, it never was quite the same type of luxury he'd wished to grow in.

He was just making his way up the steps when he spotted a lady dressed in a blood red velvet gown walking alone. He'd noticed the way the servants that passed her bowed their heads in respect and she'd smile with a subtle nod of her own head. There was only one dark haired woman he knew other than his mother that would be acknowledged as royalty.

Naerys.

"You're a long way from home, are you not?" Daeron half grinned, sneaking up to her side and making her jump.

She clutched at her chest as her breathing steadied, but then she finally looked at him with curious brown eyes. "I...forgive me...?"

He faked his pouting, holding his hand over his heart. "Don't tell me my favorite niece has forgotten about me."

"Daeron." She blushed, nodding her head as realization hit her. He looked so much like his brothers, but so different at the same time. She hadn't seen him since they were barely able to run around the gardens as children.

He was nearly a foot taller than her with shoulder length hair that leaned more golden than silver. His smile was natural and charming, pale violet eyes never looking away from her.

"I hear my little niece was sentenced to-I mean, arranged to marry one of my brothers." He joked, earning a bashful head shake from her. At least he wasn't some cold, cruel prince the way his brothers presented themselves. "Let me be the first to offer my condolences."
