Chapter 28 ~ Dude, Where My Condor

Luna's P.O.V

You would think after battling against the talons we would be done, well~ we were wrong. We were chasing after a couple of talons that most likely had the scroll we were looking for, but they were too fast for our Condor to catch up.

Aerrow: They're getting away!!
Stork: Not for long. Strap in everybody. I'm about to hit the high-speed impeller. Watch this!!

Stork and I pressed the button at the same time when suddenly this elevator like music is playing, making Stork frustrated until the Condor slowed down that it made him scream.

Luna: Stork, it's gonna be okay. Remember, take deep breaths, breathe in and out, breathe in and out
Aerrow: I'm worried about him
Mags: Same, let's just hope Luna can calm him down. He's usually calm when Luna does some breathing exercises with him
Piper: I know. Every time the Condor breaks down, he has a break down but this-
Luna: And out... Better?
Stork: Ugh... No
Luna: Would be better if I made you a fresh cup of hot coco?
Stork:... Maybe
Aerrow: Stork, I'm sure we can find a way to patch up the impeller
Stork: GYAH!!! It's already been patched! A thousand times!! Just like everything on this flying death-trap!! The emergency sprinklers are full of slime. When you flush the toilet it sends 100 volts through the seat

[ZAP]

Junko: Oooh!!
Finn: Ah, yeah, it would be good to get that fixed

[SMACK]

Finn: Ow!
Luna: Hush!
Stork: And you know who always suffers? ME!!!! I swear if one more thing breaks, I'll-

Just then we heard a rumbling sound that caused the lights to go out, making Stork's eye twitch as he screamed.

Stork: ARRGGH!!!!

I quickly walked up to Stork and patted his back while he cling onto me, hyperventilating as I gently stroked his hair while soothing him.

Luna: It's okay it's okay...
Aerrow: Woah!! Take it easy. We just need to kick it in the auxiliary power. Junko
Luna: Please, before I run out of oxygen from Stork clinging onto me too tight
Junko: I'm on it

While Junko left to get the power back on, I continued to pat Stork's back until I had an idea.

Luna: Stork, sweetheart. You need a break from everything breaking, okay? So why don't you go to your happy place
Stork: Yes~ I need a break from everything breaking!! I need to go to my happy place!
Luna: We'll get it for you, I'll go fetch it and... Ngh... Stork, can you let go
Stork: No, you're part of my happy place. If I let go I won't have a bit of my happy place
Luna: Okay, I'll send someone to fetch it. Radarr! Fetch it please~

While Radarr went to go fetch his helmet, I guided Stork to a seat so that he could relax.

Aerrow: Don't worry, buddy, when you wake up from your trance helmet, you won't even recognize the ship. It'll be like new. Promise
Luna: And I'll make sure nothing bad happens to you [kiss his cheek] Buenas noches
Stork: Yeah, promise! And thank you Luna, for being my best right hand woman
Luna: I'm your only right hand woman
Stork: That you are

Stork kissed my forehead, making me feel giddy on the inside as Stork put on his trance helmet and signaled me to press the button. I got up to press the button as Stork slowly drifted to sleep, making me giggle and smile as I watched him snore so peacefully. We drove to a dealer where Junko carried Stork while I walked next to Mags and Aerrow, for some reason he's been a bit protective of Mags ever since our last battle with the Talons.
