The big cabin looked like it came straight out of a western Christmas movie. Everything looked stunning. The house was big, almost huge. It had a balcony, a big driveway, decorations in front of the big wooden door and a few ski items stood right next to the door making the house appear more alive

I gulped when I saw the expensive cars parking right in front of the house like we would do now. One black mercedes, another BMW that looked like the one Felix drove and a black porsche.

I clenched my jaw. Of course I already knew that Felix' parents were wealthy but still I was surprised by their cars. It made me feel poor even though my parents had very good jobs too.

I looked over to the driver's seat. Felix' facial expressions told me that something was wrong. I expected him to smile from side to side yet he looked concerned.

"Are you alright?" I asked him carefully since he was just staring into one direction. I carefully followed his glance just to see that he was staring at the black Porsche that stood messily parked in the driveway.

He harshly bit his underlip. "My cousin is here" he pressed out. From his tone I could summarize that he maybe didn't really like his cousin but something about his eyes told me that there was even more going on than that

"Isn't that a good thing?" I asked him carefully because I knew how awkward his reaction could be. I didn't want to force him to tell me his entire family story yet I desperately wanted to know what he thought about his cousin staying in the hut for Christmas

Christmas was an event for families. His cousin coming over wasn't a big surprise or was it? "It's complicated. Let's just go inside" he said and forced a little smile on his lips showing me his little dimples. I nodded and accepted the sudden change of topic whereupon we got out of the warm car into the cold snowy weather

We somehow managed to go through the snow and finally knocked on the wooden door. I was still fascinated about the big mansion we would stay in that I didn't even notice how a beautiful woman opened the door.

She looked stunning. Black silky smooth hair, great skin and light makeup. She looked a bit like Felix therefore I identified her as Felix' mother. Her eyes shined bright the moment she opened the door for us to enter the mansion

Her eyes were glued on me. She almost didn't even look at her own son. "Oh my god you are here!" She said and immediately hugged me tightly. I was surprised to get hugged by her on our first meeting yet I remembered that Felix' family was from Australia and that they probably hugged each other rather than bowing.

"Hello, thank you for inviting me" I immediately answered as politely as I could. The woman took a step back and looked into my face as if she was about to analyze it. "Please, it's an honor to finally meet you. Felix talked so much about you! Please come in!" She said cheeringly whereupon we both stepped into the big mansion
