Chapter 24

"Yes," she confirmed as she watched him trace the words again.

"You had asked me how I handled bad days, and I told you that I just breathe and remind myself 'not today,' I am going to make today a good day."

She nodded as he kissed the top of her head, "they helped me more than once, so I decided to make sure I always had a reminder, even on the days we didn't chat."

"I'm glad I'm able to help," he whispered as he tightened his hold on her. The door opened and the group walked in.

"Hey, how are you feeling, Princess?" Victor asked softly.

"I don't know," Jade answered honestly.

"Alright, here you go, Pebbles," Brandon smiled as he walked in with a couple of duffel bags. "Just give us a few minutes and we will have party central going on in here."

"But not too loud," Sean said sternly. "She needs to relax and rest."

"Alright," Brandon rolled his eyes.

"Sweetheart, can I ask you something?" Corey asked gently. She nodded and he kissed the top of her head. "You said somethings when you were having a flashback, can I ask you about them?"

"I guess," she murmured. Corey saw Kota take out the pen from his phone but made it seem like he was occupied. Corey knew otherwise and was just waiting for her to say something that Kota could write down and save for investigating later but he didn't want to make it obvious so she wouldn't stress about it.

"You said Nazi scarface—"

"Spoke German," she said while pressing herself into him even more. He tightened his hold on her to help keep her grounded. "Has scar...scar..." she trailed off as her raised her finger into the air. North sat the bed and put a pen in her hand. She leaned forward and North watched as her eyes glazed over, "so ein köstliches Exemplar. Es interessiert niemanden, was ich dir antue. Ganz allein, um mein kleines Experiment zu sein. Lass mich sehen, wie du arbeitest, kleine Maus. (Such a delectable speciman. Noone to care what I do to you. All alone to be my little experiment. North forced himself not to growl as he listened to her murmur. He had to admit that feeling her touching his face as she drew on him did help soothe his anger a little bit. "You're doing good Jade Baby," he murmured as she leaned back to look him in the face.

"Night hair," she whispered as she messed up his black hair to give it a messier look. "Green eyes, not clean."

"That's good, Sweetheart," Corey said as he pulled her against him since she was trembling. "That is a huge help, thank you. How about we play some games now?" He noticed that she was rubbing her wrists, and he knew he needed to distract her before it got worse.

"Kay," she mumbled.

"Sit with one of the guys while I make sure they hooked everything up correctly," Corey said sitting up a little more so he could get off the bed. "They tend to mess it up at times."

"Not our fault we aren't video game experts," Brandon rolled his eyes as he took her place. "I'd rather just play thank you."

"You play?"

"Yes I do, Pebbles," he smiled, "But not very often. What do you play with my brother?"

She shrugged and looked down at the blanket.

"We play dreamlight valley and Spyro and I'm about to help her get set up with Animal Crossing New Horizons so we can visit each other," Corey beamed proudly. "She also likes Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts."

"I like Final Fantasy," Brandon smirked. "The moogles and chocobos are cool."

She smiled, "I liked painting mine different colors in FFXV."

"You can do that?" Brandon asked in shock.

"Yeah, once you talk to that one girl in Duscae."

"Show me, please?" Brandon asked, "I somehow missed that."

"Yeah show us, Cupcake!" Luke beamed, "I want to paint my ostrich bird."

"It's a chocobo!" Corey, Brandon, and Jade said at the same time.

"Alright, alright, chocobo," Luke held up his hands in a surrender mode.

"The moogles are in Kingdom Hearts too, and so is Cid," she said to Brandon after blushing.

"Seriously?" Brandon asked and she nodded. "Yo Core, set up me a Kingdom Hearts account too. Pebbles has to help me with that too."

"Oh it's okay," she shook her head, "it's mainly Disney stuff."

"Me too!" multiple voices said making her blush again.

"Alright, I'll get everyone set up with Kingdom Hearts after I get Bran set up on FFXV. Don't overwhelm my DreamKitten though or I'll erase everyone's accounts on everything."

They gulped and nodded, "Got it."
