After the shocking revelation, Kana and Marcus went back home. They both can't believe what they learned. Who would've thought that the cause that Kana is fighting for is not only alive but also so near and dear to him and Marcus? The world is indeed small.

"I truly didn't see that coming," Kana mumbled staring at nothing.

"Me neither," Marcus replied.

Kana turned to him with a facial expression that Marcus knew well. Pulling Kana into his arms gently, he pecked his temple.

"Everything will be okay, love. We will do everything to make them pay without blowing up our friends' newfound lives," Marcus assured him.

What they learned drained both of them. But they were relieved and glad that there was someone that managed to help them.

Fortunately, Trent– Jenson, managed to change the serum they used on Nico and were able to revive him before he staged his death. The person who helped him was a friend of his father and also a friend of Kana's uncle Dean.

Now, they need to think carefully about how they are going to make them pay without jeopardizing their friends' identities and safety.

After knowing the truth about Nico and Jenson's case, Kana didn't do anything to trigger their enemies. He needs to think and plan carefully. But the silence made Dr. Trace more anxious. What added to her frustration was her suspension.

"Something is not right," she mumbled.

She feels like there is something big coming to her and she can't stand still. Her paranoid mind isn't helping her. She always feels edgy plus the alcohol she consumes every day is clouding her judgement.

Slamming her hand on the table, she stands up. "I need to do something to end this,"

Meanwhile, at the Royale Hospital, Kana is not feeling well. He also feels like something bad is coming.

"Dr. Castle, is everything alright? Are you not well?" Jason asked him bringing him back to his senses. They are in the middle of a discussion.

All eyes shifted to him, waiting for his answer.

"You okay, K?" Jae followed up.

He blinked a couple of times and cleared his throat. "Yeah, continue," he said with a tight smile.

His team glanced at Jae and the latter nodded and Jason continued his report. Jae knows his friend isn't okay but work comes first, so he decides to inquire later.

After giving his orders, Kana dismissed the meeting and told them to page him if he was needed. He will rest for a while. Jae followed him to his office. Kana went straight to the sofa and lay down covering his face with his forearm. Jae stands beside him with his arms crossed.

"What's bothering you?" Jae asked.

He sighed, "I don't know. It's just... I feel like my whole energy is drained," he answered.

"Hm, rest then," Jae said. "You can take a few days off, we can manage here," Jae suggested.

"Nah~ It's okay. I can-" Kana couldn't finish what he was saying when he felt a wave of nausea.

He rushed to the bathroom leaving a shocked Jae following suit.

"Hey, you okay?" Jae asked him while rubbing his back.

Kana just keeps on vomiting. After a while, he plopped on the ground. He looked at Jae.

"We ate the same food earlier," Jae stated. His tone and look are telling Kana something else.
