Raghav ended the call. Veer unknowingly was smiling staring the screen. He came back to reality when he heard a knock. He wiped his tears, sat on the bed, looking up and found Kartik and Mahir standing there.
Veer: Aap dono yaha?
Kartik: Hum ander aaye? Important baat karni hai.
Veer thought for few seconds and then nodded. They entered the room and sat beside Veer. Kartik gently held Veer's hands.
Kartik (softly): Veer, baccha, tumhe college me koi bully kar raha hai kya?
Veer was startled by the sudden question. His heartbeat increased.
Veer (shocked): N-nahi. K-kyu?
Mahir (with smile): Nahi to phir tu stammer kyu kar raha hai? And kal tu behosh hua tab uncle tujhe check kar rahe the. Unhone dekha tumhare pet pe bruises dekhe. He said ki kisine shayad subhah bohot punch kiya ho. Baccha, please tell us.
Veer (gulping his tears, trying best not to stammer): Koi mujhe... Mujhe koi bully nahi kar raha. M-mai... meri seniors se fight hui and I ended up getting beaten up.
Mahir (slightly raised voice): And why the hell did you fight with your seniors?
Veer flinched due to it and looked down. His eyes become teary. Mahir sighed.
Kartik (stern): Mahir, don't talk in this tone. You are scaring him. Talk softly. (to Veer) Veer, baby, Bhai hai na. Bhai tumhe kuch nahi hone denge. Par please bhai se kuch mat chupao. Bhai ko sach batao. I know, mera Veer seniors se fight kabhi nahi karega. Bhai ko sach batao, Veer.
Veer (looking down yet loudly): Mai sach keh raha hu. I fought with my seniors and got beaten up. Koi mujhe bully nahi kar raha. I fought with them.
Mahir: Veer, this is not a way to talk with Bhai. And hume yakin hai, humara Veer aisa kar hi nahi sakta. He hates fights. Rather I doubt if you even talk with your classmates after the previous incident.
Veer (shouts, rudely): To nahi hu mai aapka Veer. Aur you can't go on controlling my life. Mai apne marji ka malik hu. And aapko kya pata mai college me kaise rehta hu? Do you stalk me? Aap hote ho mere saath? Nahi na? Then you have no right to assume how I behave. Aur kyu aap mujhe vo incident yaad dilana chahte hai? Kya aap us incident ki madat se aapki mahanta sabit karna chahte ho? Do you wanna show how you sacrificed your studies for me? Bataiye na? Agar ye baat nahi hai to kyu bar bar mujhe vo sab yaad dilate ho? I know yahi reason hai. Isiliye aap nahi chahte na ki mai vo incident bhul jau? You are so selfish, bhai!
Mahir got too hurt due to his words. His eyes brimmed with tears. He wiped them before anyone could see, though it didn't got unnoticed by both, and left the room in hurry, before he broke down completely. Kartik glared Veer, who looked away. Kartik shook his head in disbelief and left the room too. Veer looked at the door and let his tears down.
