EVER SINCE EVERYONE'S ARRIVAL, practice matches had been announced and had taken place. Usually, you were extremely focused when doing your manager duties other than when the twins, or Suna, or even Yuto decided to aggravate you enough to break your streak. However, with Keiji Akashi standing on the other side of the gym, focusing was extremely difficult.
It wasn't like you were the only one unfocused, you weren't the one staring aimlessly when the other wasn't looking, or grinning lightly whenever the other would look back at them once they caught on. No, the one doing that was none other than Akaashi and it wasn't very hard for everyone to notice.
"Y/n," Suna started, now closer to you who stood near the point board once he moved a place down. Despite saying your name, your eyes were focused on Akaashi who happened to finish a setter dump on the blockers for Nekoma.
"Y/n," Suna called out a bit louder, noticing your dazed state that rested on the boy you had been growing closer to with each new day.
"Y/n!" His voice was now filled with annoyance and his expression didn't hold back any feelings he was having due to the fact that it took three times for you to notice him saying your name.
"Yeah?! Yes! Sorry," you grinned bash fully at your best friend, noticing the way he held himself back from rolling his eyes at you.
"We're up a point..." he trailed off, turning his back to you as your guys' team stared at the both of you in curiosity.
"Pay attention, you're being careless."
With that, the referee that happened to be one of Nekoma's bench players blew the whistle that signaled the game to continue.
Atsumu whistled lowly as he looked at his brother from his peripheral, watching as Osamu shook his head in dismay. They knew what this lead to all to well.
First, Suna and or sometimes you would begin with an attitude, it could either be handled in a day or in a week. Secondly, when the situation and the feelings build up about whatever you both may be disagreeing with, the larger the bomb (or so the team calls it) grows between the both of you. Then, it's like you guys play tug-of-war with it, and whoever gets ahold of the bomb, the ticking stops and it creates an explosion; an argument.
While the team knows the signs, you and Suna do not. It happens throughout each year and always has, but whenever it does come up the both of you can never see the signs. It's almost as similar to Atsumu and Osamu's arguments and random outbursts, but they're brothers and you and Suna have been attached to the hip since you both met each other.
