WIPING HIS FOREHEAD, Suna sighed in exhaustion as he made his way to a table in the Nekoma cafeteria. It was now Wednesday and you had spent dinner and breakfast with Akaashi yesterday. He shouldn't be salty because of it, he knew that, but was it so bad that he couldn't help it? That he wanted you to know he was salty so he could finally see if you understood where he was coming from?
However, Suna had come up with one thing and one thing only. If you gave blatant signals that you did not love him the way he loved you, he would give it up. He would move on and would encourage your relationship with Akaashi. He knew he could take care of you.
You slammed your lunch tray on the table Suna sat at, taking a seat across from him with a bright grin. It was your way of telling him it was his turn for your attention; for once in these past two days.
The moment you slammed your lunch tray on the table was the moment Suna was forcefully pulled out of his daze. He stared at you, carefully watching as you took a seat on the opposite side of him.
"Long time no see," he mumbled quietly, picking up his chop sticks to dig into the school-made Udon.
"I know, I'm sorry, Rin," you apologized. Your voice was shaky, obvious that you felt horrible for not spending as much time with him as you usually did.
His eyes trailed up from his tray and to your face only to see the expression that rested on it. Your eyebrows were furrowed slightly and a frown was evident on your lips. The most noticeable thing to Suna, though, was the way your eyes glazed over.
You were rather sensitive, but also rather "heartless", as Atsumu and Yuto would say. You were typically only sensitive about things you cared deeply about, such as your Aunt's cat or your CDs you collected. However, you always seemed to grow emotional over making Suna upset.
"...Don't apologize, you see me everyday," he paused, watching as your eyes bore into his own. "You only get this week until you schedule to meet up another time."
You didn't know what you did to deserve Suna. He was patient with you, too patient. Sometimes you wondered if he would ever grow extremely angry with you that he would walk out of your life entirely. He wouldn't, though. Suna would never in a million years leave you to be on your own.
"I just feel bad."
"I know, and it's okay."
"But for a guy I met coincidentally? It feels like I'm just pushing you to the side."
