Chapter 8

Leah's POV:

-1 day later-

Tyler and I were laying down on the same patch of grass at the same park. I was laying down on his chest. I brought my Ukulele, so I started to strum random chords.

"Sing me a song again," he said.
"We're in public," I said looking around.
"Come on, they'll love it," he said smiling,
"Okay fine. What song?" I asked.
"Whatever is fine," he said.
"Okay, I'll sing I'm Yours," I said sitting up.

Well, you dawned on me and you bet I felt it
I tried to beat you, but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks
Now I'm trying to get back

Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest

To win some or learn some.

And so I drew a new face and I laughed.

"Happy?" I said laughing.
"Very," he said smiling and kissed me on the cheeks. Which gave me a tsunami of butterflies, again.
"Whenever you kiss me, I feel like I could do anything," I said staring deeply into his eyes.
"Then maybe I should kiss you more often," he said as he kissed me on the cheek.
"And when you sing, you make me fall for you, all over again," he said smiling cutely.
"Maybe I'll sing more often," I said smiling. Our foreheads touch.
"We're such dorks oh my god," I said laughing.
"Yeah, I know," he said laughing. We laid down and I flipped around so I was facing him.
"God. Your eyes. I can discover a whole other universe in them," he said smiling. I smiled back, which made the corners of my eyes crinkle.
"God. I love when you do that," he said smiling.
"Do what?" I ask.
"When you smile and the corners of your eyes crinkle," he said giggling.
"I love when you're like that," I said back smiling at him.
"Like what?" he asked.
"When you're all bubbly and happy," I said smiling.
"Well that'll never change, as long as I'm with you," he said smiling "you're my other half. Without you, my heart would stop beating." I slapped his arm and smiled. He laughed.
"Why do you to this to me?" I said into his chest.
"Because, Miss Leah Flores, I'm in love with you," he said smiling. I lifted my head up.
"Well, Mr. Tyler Joseph, I'm in love with you too," I said smiling.
"What? I didn't hear that say it again?" he said jokingly.
"Dork," I said laughing and shoving him.
"Violent huh? Well if you wanna play like that I guess I should-" he picked me up.
"TYLER PUT ME DOWN!" I yelled. He was running towards the sprinklers. He ran towards the sprinklers. We were both laughing. Tyler walked me back to my house. We were soaking wet, but we didn't care.
"That was fun, I gotta admit," I said laughing.
"Yeah. We're gonna catch a cold though," he said laughing back.
"Worth it," I said as I stepped onto my doorstep.
"Thanks for today," I said smiling.
"Yeah. No problem," he said smiling back. We stood there staring at each other for a few seconds. Then he leaned in and I leaned in back. But right before we could kiss my brother called my name from the other room.
"LEAH!" My brother, Ian, called.
"Dammit. My brother. I'll see you whenever," I said smiling.
"Yeah. I'll text you. Bye," he said smiling.
"Bye," I said waving.
"I'LL MISS YOU!" he yelled.
"I'LL MISS YOU TOO!" I yelled back. I watched him disappear in the darkness and closed the door.
I walked to my room, dried myself off, and changed into my pajamas and a black v neck.
"What were you calling me for?" I said.
"I was gonna ask you to help me find the remote but I found it," he said. So I missed my kiss from Tyler because of a remote. God. I said nothing and I just sat next to him and watched Tv.
"Who was that boy you were with?" he said smiling at me. That made me think, what are we? Are we together? Are we friends?
"Don't worry about it," I said turning red. I wasn't embarrassed, I was just confused, and I didn't know what we were.
"Is he your booyyfrrriieend?" he said teasing me. I threw a pillow at him.
"I swear if you tell mom I will murder you," I said staring at him.
"Okay," he said "Jeez."
"So he is your boyfriend," he said laughing. I threw another pillow at him.
"You're such a pain in the ass," I said laughing.
