It's a beautiful day outside. Birds are chirping, flowers are blooming... On days like these, guys like Dion...
“PUT THE DAMN RICE DOWN!”
...Are still wreaking havoc.
It hadn't been that long since he and his friends left the final selection grounds, but he simply couldn't sit still. It wasn't like he was going to say anything, but moving around was the only way to calm his soul after what he had witnessed that day.
The vacant look in Yurika's eyes as she got sent flying by an attack that was meant for him. He even started seeing it in his dreams...
So to keep his mind off it, he made life difficult for the people around him. It was one of his favorite activities, after all.
“This is for refusing to translate for me all those times before!” He wheezed as he chucked the heavy bag of grains.
His voice was slowly going back to normal, which was good because doing a bunch of hand gestures had been driving him crazy. It was always way easier for people to ignore him that way.
Truth be told, he could've been speaking ages ago in a weak version of his voice, but his sensei refused, telling him that he needed to save up his energy for the final selection. FOR MONTHS!
Remind him never to challenge that man again, please. Doing breathing forms with a messed-up throat hurt like a b*tch, and Dion's pretty sure his sensei made him suffer on purpose. He was way too good a swordsman not to know what he was doing that day.
The black-haired boy subconsciously reached up to the bandages wrapped around his neck. “Do you have any idea what it's like? Reuniting with an old friend and not being able to speak with her because some guy with old man hair simply refuses to TELL HER WHAT YOU'RE SAYING!?”
Haruchiyo threw the bag of rice back at him. “None of what you were saying made any sense in the first place! She's probably glad I didn't translate! AND I DON'T HAVE OLD MAN HAIR!”
“They were memes and jokes! She would have understood them!”
“Yeah, right! She seems to be just an ordinary foreigner! I doubt even she would understand your weirdo sense of humor!”
