As they sat together in the cozy comfort of Sunhee's living room, Yumi couldn't help but feel a flutter of nerves as she broached the subject.
"Sunhee, I have something exciting to tell you," Yumi began, her voice tinged with anticipation.
Sunhee looked up from her cup of tea, her eyes sparkling. "Oh, honey.... I knew it. Your boobs are looking bigger"
"What?! No... NO" Yumi shook her head "no bun in the oven!"
Sunhee took a deep sigh " sorry.... Baby fever"
"Just do another one with Dk"
"Let my insides rest before busting another human" she said making Yumi laugh "but your boobs are really looking great"
"Thanks" Yumi looked at her breast and shrugged her shoulders
"So what is it?"
Yumi took a deep breath, her heart pounding with excitement as she prepared to share the news. "Well, you remember Mrs. Parker, my culinary school teacher from LA?" she started, her words tumbling out in a rush.
Sunhee nodded, a smile playing on her lips as she recalled Yumi telling her all about cooking school "Of course, how could I forget? You taught me her recipe for congee and it was 5 stars"
"Well, she called me earlier yesterday" she continued, her voice tinged with excitement. "And she told me that there's a spot for me in a new culinary course in LA."
Sunhee's eyes widened in surprise at the news, her expression one of genuine delight. "Yumi, that's incredible! Congratulations!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement.
"Thanks. She said it was with great chefs all around the world and quite limited... I'm really excited about it," she said warmly.
Sunhee reached out and squeezed Yumi's hand affectionately, her eyes shining with pride. "You should be. This is a fantastic opportunity for you," she said earnestly "but I can feel something pulling you down... if it's work, you can go. The spot will be here for you! You're part of the team"
Yumi nodded, her heart swelling with gratitude for Sunhee's unwavering support. "I knew you're gonna say that. You're really good friend. But my problem is Joshua"
"Hmm" Sunhee looked at her " was he mad? Do you want me to beat him up? Or I could ask Dokyeom"
"No... I haven't told him yet. I'm afraid of his reaction"
