On thin ice

Standing at a crossroads pt 1

"I could do this all day", Luz said laying on Amity, practically crushing her. "Luz get off!", Amity said laughing. "You're heavy". Luz rolled over on her some more. "That's all muscle and you like it", Luz protested. Luz was right, amity did indeed like it, a lot. "You win", Amity replied turning red.

The two had been hanging out in Luz's room while their friends went shopping. They would've joined them but they wanted to spend some time together. They had a lot to discuss and they just enjoyed each other's company.

"Hey Luz", Amity started. "Yeah mittens?", Luz replied. Amity scoffed. "I know you hate talking about things like your feelings but I feel bad for not letting you speak during our talk under the tree". Luz thought about it. "I think I was scared of being vulnerable. I should've just talked to you instead of running away from my problems yet again like I've been doing to you the whole time. Plus there's so much I wanted to say that day".

Amity smiled at the things she was hearing. "Oh yeah? Like what?", Amity asked. "Just that I'm sorry for all the dumb things I did and how I made you feel. That you deserve better treatment. You actually deserve the world", Luz told the girl.

For once in her life she felt at ease when sharing her feelings. "I'd also say how I like you too. I've always been fond of you Blight and I was too immature to say it. Or maybe I was afraid I don't know. What I do know is that I wanna say it because it's true", Luz added. Amity was bright red, as always. "Luz", amity started. "Do you wanna go out with me? I know we've had a lot of up and downs and you probably don't wanna deal with me anymore, but I would really wanna go out with you".

Luz stared at the girl blankly, her expression soon turning into a smile. "You really didn't hear anything I said did you? Plus aren't I supposed to ask you since I'm the masc and all?", she said.

"Luz", amity said dramatically dragging out the other girls name. "Yes blight, I will go out with you. Of course I will", she said sitting up and tackling the blight onto the bed, showering her face with kisses. "Luz stop", amity said giggling. "What? I can't kiss my girlfriend?", Luz asked, fully aware of what she's doing.

Amity covered her face with her hands. "I hate you", she said, her words muffled. "Oh I guess I'll just leave then", Luz said getting up to go. As she predicted, Amity grabbed her to stop her from leaving. "Actually I change my mind, I hate you less now", the girl said smiling. The two girls spent the next couple minutes lying on the hotel bed cuddling, switching their position ever so often. They figured they had all day to cuddle and hang out so why not take advantage of it.

Just then the sound of a room key being used made Luz groan."Nooo they're back to ruin the funnn". Her three friends walked through the door carrying a good amount of shopping bags. "We brought you something back but maybe we should return it with our fun killing energy", Willow said sarcastically. "Well don't do that", Luz replied rolling her eyes. Willow walked over to Luz and Amity, handing them each a bag. "Thanks Willow", Amity said smiling at her friend. "Seems like you guys were having a good time", Luz said going through the bag of stuff. "Well you could say that", Boscha said looking at her friends. "It's story time!", Gus said excitedly. Everyone got comfy on the bed in preparation for the story that was about to be told.

"We were walking downtown like by all the stores and obviously we had to go to all of them. It was this really cool one that had a bunch of skateboards and bikes and shit.", Gus started. "Okay stay on topic here", Boscha said.

"You're right sorry. Anyways we were walking to this one cool store because we were going to get something for all of us. Yes, matching T-shirts hold your applause and we just saw something that kinda blew our mind like you know when you look at something you like dang that's not real so you do a double take and like well that is real and you like wait is it really real".

"Gus!", Willow interrupted. "Okay I'm sorry", he said. "I'll take it from here" Boscha said. "So we saw what we saw and ran to the back of the store. Yes we ran but then we got in trouble for running in the store which I really don't see what the problem is because what if there's a sale or like a killer or it was like a fire? Don't you run to get away? Personally I don't understand why running is a bad thing to happen in a store but we got kicked out the store cause we ran which is really dumb".

Willow looked at the both of them annoyed. "I'm gonna take over here because we don't have time for that. Anyways yes we left the store and we thought maybe we can catch them somewhere else. So we're walking around and of course somebody gets distracted by a food vendor."

"Okay listen I was hungry. I don't think this is a time to point fingers and blame someone for why we stopped but yes it was me", Boscha stated.

"Anyways, like I was saying", Willow started again. "Wait what was I saying? Oh right and so we got the food and we kept walking and at this point we already had been to like four stores and we still didn't see".

Luz was getting a little impatient with them. "See what? You still didn't see what?", she asked. "Okay wait we're getting there", Gus spoke. "So it was finally when we went to the book store. Crazy right. Willow was the only one who wanted to go in", Gus said. "Anyways, we finally got to store thinking the person had to be here".

"So it is a person?", Luz interrupted. Her friends looked at her. "Duh Luz, keep up", Boscha said. "Okay whatever. So who was it?", Luz asked. "Who was who?", Gus replied. "I swear I'm gonna strangle you", Luz said about to get up before being stopped by her now girlfriend. "Nope let's be calm", Amity said. "Who did you see?".

"Well I'm not sure you wanna know", Boscha said. "You're not sure that we wanna know? You sat here and told us this long confusing story when you could've just said, oh we saw so and so at this place, but no, you had to waste our time with this story when this could've been already figured out", Luz ranted.

"She does have a point guys", Amity added.  "Your version was a bit...well". "Stupid?", Luz said with a bit of annoyance to her voice. "No, I was gonna say theatrical but you know, choose your own words",' Amity replied. "Who did you see", Luz asked, done with all the yapping.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. "You're about to see. Initially I wanted to harm her, but they told me violence wasn't the answer", Boscha said crossing her arms. "Harm her?", amity questioned. The door swung open and the person standing there causes both girls jaws to drop.

"Jessica?!"
