Have you ever experienced doubting your dialogues kasi feeling mo they don't sound realistic?
It's normal. And you have to learn to separate yourself from your dialogues. Iba-iba ang reading experience ng readers and everyone tends to read it with emotions, as if acting it. Automatic na yata 'to sa readers, 'e. Even when I'm reading, kusang nag-a-adjust brain ko for the dialogues, reading it with emotions talaga. Kapag reader naman ako sa sarili kong works, my inner critic would say na "hindi realistic." Weird thing to happen, pero kailangan mo nang masanay na ma-e-experience mo 'yon sa sarili mong work. Remember na hindi ikaw ang reader sa sarili mong work.
Besides, kahit naman statements online, especially from celebrities when they had interview, makababasa ka rin na feeling mo hindi 'to masasabi ng isang real life person, kahit narinig mo naman na galing sa kanya 'yon. People have different choice of words kasi. Kaya kahit sobrang tunog makata pa 'yong mabasa mo sa wattpad, still hindi natin puwedeng ikulong at sabihin na hindi ito "realistic." For example, debatable lagi ang characters na mayaman at mahirap. For others, kapag mayaman, dapat social, conyo magsalita. Kapag mahirap, dapat pangkalye? Para daw realistic. Not always. Depende 'yan. Nagbabago ang mundo, huwag ikulong ang characters sa ganitong stereotype.
Panigurado na magbabago 'yong view sa dialogues when someone delivered it through acting. May dialogues talaga na kapag binasa mo, parang walang emotions, pero nag-iiba kapag in-act na. No one can really tell paano mararamdaman ng readers ang isang dialogue. Ako nga, kapag nagbabasa ako, sa comments may mga natawa sa sinabi ng character, pero sa 'kin hindi naman. See? So, stop doubting your dialogues and let readers experience it. And huwag gawing basis ang isang reaction. If you want to make it sure, you can read it out loud naman, but what's important is building your creative confidence na magustuhan man 'yan o hindi ng iba, pinaniniwalaan mo pa rin.
