Be honest. Ang result na gusto mo kaya ka naging writer ay para maging published author.

Right? Who wouldn't want that? Mahawakan stories mo as books, mapirmahan at ma-meet ang readers mo! Masarap sa feeling! Understandable!

If not, karamihan sa writers 'yan ang gusto nila. The only result they want. To the point na puwedeng mag-lead sa attachment to the result. If you are enslaved by your desire to achieve that result (dream), puwede kang ma-frustrate, ma-disappoint, magkaroon ng depression, etc.

What if puwede naman nating tingnan in a different way?

What if the result is to experience your characters? Better!

From idea to execution. From beginning to end. Everything about your creative process.

Ma-a-appreciate lang ba natin ang kuwento at characters natin kapag lang naging libro na? Like, doon mo lang ma-a-acknowledge na kumpleto ka na as writer, as if hindi pa enough stories mo plus your characters?

I believe one of the best results we can get as a writer is to experience our characters, along with the struggles in creating them. If we really think about it, hindi ka naman magiging published author kung wala kang naumpisahan at natapos na kuwento— kung hindi mo na-experience characters mo. Yes, being a published author is a good accomplishment at kapag may booksigning ka na, sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam, because after all the hard work and struggles, reality na 'yong dream mo! But, it shouldn't be the only result we acknowledge in our writing career. We can write without so much suffering. There's more to writing than being a published author. Hindi 'to one-day event lang or fleeting experience, it's a lifestyle. The satisfaction should be focused on our daily process of writing— every step, not just writing— experiencing our stories with its characters.
