A Memory of Two: Lost and Found

Apology

Both of them had enough questions to ask but remained silent. Sanem went to her room and took her medicine before nap. She already started feeling dizziness because being part of long discussions. "It's not good for my health. I should rest for a while." She mumbled to herself. Taehyung wanted to talk to her but didn't dare to go near her so he just postponed the quiz round with her. 

----------Taehyung POV---------------

"Woahh! What did I just witnessed? How did she remained calm and composed while meeting with my parents? And, for the first time she smiled. By the way, she looks gorgeous when she smiles. Although it was for short time but I really felt butterflies when she smiled. Maybe she is scared of me, that's why she behaved good with my parents. But, she doesn't seem to be one who can be afraid of anything. But anyways, she might be too tired now. She needs rest. Wait!! Am I thinking about her? No way, she is a danger for me. Don't forget Taehyung, she tried to kill you. She can't be normal. She isn't normal. She is ferocious. You better maintain safe distance from her. Also, she doesn't trust you. So, stop hovering around her." He thought in his mind. 

------------Later in the evening around 7 pm---------------

All the members arrived at Taehyung's house except Jungkook. He is late. Taehyung welcomes them all in the lobby and asks maids to bring snacks for all of them. While they all settled in, he asks Jin, "Where is Jungkook?" 

Jin replies, "He is on the way. Will be here soon."

Namjoon said in the calm voice, "I hope you know, why are we all here?"

Everyone stared at Namjoon while he looked at Taehyung. The environment get tensed. The silence conquered the room. 

Taehyung - "I was about to tell about this to each one of you. Trust me."

Suga - "When? After having your kids? Or after our death?"

Taehyung - "Hyung, believe me. everything happened in the hustle."

Jhope - "Oh hustle!!!? I think you were dating before her accident and in between you got 2 months when she was in coma."

Taehyung - "I was not sure when will she wake up. I lost hope if she would ever regain her consciousness. That's why I kept it as secret."

Namjoon - "Your statement still doesn't justify your deeds. All we wanted to know about your wellbeing. We are bothered that you didn't share about your relationship and suffered it all alone while your hyungs were there for you."

Taehyung - "I am sorry. I am really sorry that I didn't shared this information with you all. I should have told you before."

Jin - "By the way, how long have you been dating?" 

Taehyung give a hesitant look to all of their faces and said just four months.

Jhope while judging him asked, "Woaahh! and you never even let us suspect you!!!!"

Meanwhile the maids come with the snacks and Taehyung said while bowing in front of all of them, "Please, forgive me, I am apologizing by my heart. I won't repeat anything like this in the future."

Namjoon - "Umm.... It's okay now. What else can we do in this situation rather than accepting your apology."

Taehyung - "Thank you hyung. Now please everyone serve yourself with snacks."

Jimin - "If she is around, can we meet her? After all,  we have to wait for Jungkook. We can't start without him."

Taehyung awkwardly smiled and said, "Yes, of course. Let me call her."

"I think she is in her room and sleeping. Should I go to her room? Nah, I don't want to. Maybe she needs rest but I have already told her that we will be meeting some guests tonight. Now, what should I do? Also, I have to inform her that she won't say that we have been dating for one year because I already lied to hyung." Taehyung thinks to himself.

Just then, he saw Sanem upstairs and she was heading towards him downstairs. He was somewhat relieved that now he does not need to go to her room. While stepping down the stairs to the lobby, she slips from the third step because of dizziness and with a gasp, Sanem's foot falters on the slick surface, sending her stumbling forward with arms flailing in a desperate attempt to regain her balance. Just as she teeters on the brink of a fall, a strong pair of arms envelopes her, pulling her close in a protective embrace. Instinctively, she reaches out to grasp onto something, anything, to steady herself. Time seemed to slow to a crawl as Sanem found herself cradled against the chest of a stranger with a physical feature of doe eyes and Boba face, her heart pounding in her ears as if keeping time with the distant peal of bells of the windchimes near the windows of lobby. Breathless and disoriented, she looked up to find herself locked in the gaze of a young man, his eyes filled with concern. He appeared out of nowhere, it seemed, his quick reflexes preventing her from hitting the ground. For a moment, they remained locked in that intimate embrace, the world around them fading into insignificance. Then, slowly, the stranger released her, helping her to her feet with a concerned expression on his face.

"Are you alright?" he asked, his voice soft yet steady.
