A Memory of Two: Lost and Found

Panic

Entering Dongdaemun Market, Sanem is immediately enveloped in a whirlwind of activity. The market teems with life, its narrow alleys lined with stalls overflowing with an eclectic array of goods. Vibrant fabrics cascade from racks, while shelves are adorned with trinkets and souvenirs. The air is alive with the chatter of vendors and the rustle of shoppers as they peruse the offerings. Her maids, seasoned locals, lead her through the maze of stalls, their practiced eyes scanning the merchandise with precision. They stop at a stall showcasing a dazzling array of scarves and shawls, each one more intricate than the last. Sanem runs her fingers over the fabrics, marveling at the softness and richness of the textures. As she admires the merchandise, her maids engage the vendor in conversation, their voices blending with the hum of the market. They deftly negotiate prices, their banter laced with laughter and camaraderie. Sanem watches in awe as they haggle, amazed by their confidence and skill. After settling on a selection of scarves, they move on to the next stall, this time drawn by a display of delicate jewelry. Then, they buy four pairs of baby clothes including socks and caps of different style. After that, they hops to other shops buying different stuffs. As they continue their journey through the market, Sanem finds herself immersed in the experience, her senses alive with the sights and sounds around her. Soon, they enters Mukja Golmok, Hana and Bong Cha orders food. With hesitant excitement, Sanem indulges in kimchi pancakes, spicy rice cakes, and savory dumplings, each bite a revelation of flavor. They feel happy to see Sanem enjoying the food.

After done with eating, Hana says - "It's already 5:30, I think we should leave now. If we board bus now, we will be home at time."

Both of them nods and follows Hana. Near the crosswalk, they wait for the signal to turn green for the pedestrians, just then Sanem's eyes laid on Jungkook's billboard which stands just beside her. Seeing his poster, her mind takes her through all the past events within some seconds. She stays still in front of the billboard glaring him. The signal turns green but she stays lost in her past memories and doesn't cross with Hana and Bong Cha. She doesn't realize how long she stays in that state, staring Jungkook's billboard with teary eyes, until a gentle push on her shoulder hits and she comes in reality not finding Hana and Bong Cha near her.

 Amidst the chaos of the crowd, Sanem suddenly finds herself separated from her maids. Panic rises within her as she realizes she is alone in this unfamiliar world. Frantically, she scans the crowd, searching for familiar faces amidst a sea of strangers. But the faces blur together, each one a fleeting glimpse in the throng of people. She crosses the road and start calling their names in panic, "Hana.... Bong Cha" but no reply comes up. Fear grips her heart as she grapples with the uncertainty of her situation. She feels small and vulnerable amidst the towering buildings and bustling streets, a lone figure adrift in a sea of humanity. Thoughts race through her mind as she wonders how she will ever find her way back to safety.

On the other hand, Hana and Bong Cha realize they've become separated from Sanem in the bustling crowd, a wave of anxiety washes over them. They frantically scan the throng of people, their hearts pounding with worry as they call out her name, hoping she'll hear them amidst the noise. Their minds race with worst-case scenarios as they try to retrace their steps, searching desperately for any sign of their owner. Each passing moment feels like an eternity, filled with uncertainty and fear for her safety. Guilt gnaws at them as they wonder how they could have let her slip away in the first place. They replay the moments leading up to their separation, wishing they had been more vigilant, more attentive to her needs. But amidst the chaos and panic, there is also determination. They refuse to give up hope, rallying together to comb through the crowd with renewed urgency. Every face they pass is scrutinized, every corner of the city explored in their quest to find their lost owner.

Pushed by crowd, Sanem misleads the path and unknowingly ends up in strange place.

Taehyung finishes his work early today. But before he could leave Suga asks, "How's your fiancée now? I heard that she was sick? Is she fine now?"

Jin - "Yes, I forgot to ask too. How is she now?"

Taehyung - "Yes, she is fine and good now."

Jhope - "I think we should go to visit her today. It's been long since we all met. Also, we are left with plenty of time today. It's just 6:30 pm. Let's watch today's match at Taehyung's place."

Jimin - "Yes. Our company will lighten up her mood as well. Poor woman, she never go anywhere just stays at home for the whole day. We should surely meet her."

Jin - "Yes, and then Taehyung will treat us with good food."

Namjoon - "At least, ask Taehyung if he is comfortable with us visiting his home."

Taehyung - "ahh! don't say like this. You all are invited anytime."

Just then, Jungkook says - "I won't come."

Everyone looks at his face. Jimin asks - "Why?"

Suga - "What's wrong, why will you not?"

Jungkook - "Because I don't want to." 

Namjoon - "Is there something specific?"

Jungkook - "No. I have a little work. So, I would like to complete it."

Jhope - "Come on. We all are free now. What work has come up to you now?"

Jimin murmurs in his ears - "Jungkook, don't let them doubt you please. I know you are still suffering but you should join us otherwise there would be a big issue. Please don't deny."

Listening Jimin's advice, Jungkook accepts the invitation. However, he could clearly feel Taehyung's enraged eyes on him but now he has decided to behave in limits. 

Suga - "Okay then! let's order food first. By the time we will reach there, food will be already present so we will not have to wait."

Namjoon interrupts, "I think we should get a bouquet for her. That will freshen up her mood."

Everyone agrees and soon Suga and Jhope orders food at Taehyung's place while Namjoon and Jimin ask their staff to prepare a bouquet with roses and lilies."

Everyone leaves for Taehyung's house. They reach his place around 7:20 pm. And as per their theory, the food really arrived before them. They all enters in the lobby area with light mood and happy soul except Jungkook. The memories starts haunting him. He was not prepared to face Sanem. His heart pains with the thought of meeting her again. He might not be able to control himself this time but he has no other choice. All of them soon settle down in the lobby. Taehyung looks around curiously to find Sanem. But found no one in the house. This seems strange to him that even maids are not around including Hana and Bong Cha. He quickly calls the security to ask "where are all the maids?"
