A Memory of Two: Lost and Found

Introduction

"Yes, thank you." Sanem replied while adjusting her clothes.

Everyone in the lobby looked both of them with mouth opened, widened and surprised eyes. The lobby filled in with awkward silence as if nobody is around. None of them was ready for this scenario. Taehyung stepped forward in stunned state and asked, "Are you okay? How did you slip?" 

Sanem - "I felt some dizziness and my foot faltered."

Taehyung - "Are you not feeling well enough? You should be careful"

Sanem - "No, I am good. Don't worry. Thanks to him, he saved me.". She pointed towards the stranger.

"Jungkook - My name is Jeon Jungkook." He said while bowing a little towards her.

"Oh! I see. My name is Sanem. Nice to meet you, Jungkook" She said with a smile on her face while gazing into his eyes.

Jungkook - "I hope you are alright. I think you must be lady of the house. By the way, I think Jungkook is a huge name to pronounce so if you don't mind you can call me kook or kookie"

Sanem - "Oh! yeah I am good. And thank you again kookie for your help. By the way, your lip piercing is cool." She said with a smile.

Meanwhile Taehyung - "So, if you both are done with the introductions, Can we move ahead? Others are waiting."

Both of them nodded and followed Taehyung where all the other guests are sitting.

All of them stared each other without a word. A moment later Taehyung started introducing Sanem with everyone and vice versa. When the introductory phase passed, Namjoon said - "So, how are you feeling now? If you are not feeling good, you should take rest. We can have this meeting some other time."

Sanem - "I am better now. Thank you."

Suga - "I know it's a difficult time for you. You recently recovered from a severe accident and now the news of your relationship is all over in media."

Sanem - "Not at all, nothing bothers me except my health. By the way, thank you so much for your concern."

Just then the maid comes to inform about the dinner and everybody moved to the dinning table. Taehyung purposely sits next to Sanem. While all of them having dinner, Namjoon said to Sanem, "I know it must be hard for you to manage everything all of sudden. There are many people outside who hate you for being in relationship with Taehyung but you don't worry, from now onwards we all will be there for you."

Sanem - "Thank you so much for your heartwarming words. But don't worry I am not worry or bothered with anything."

Jimin - "And how do you do that?"

Sanem while fixing her gaze on his face said, "I don't use social media and avoid watching news. Also I prefer to stay away from people."

Everyone on the table gave her a surprised look because they didn't expect this. She continued, "It's my ideology. I think if you want to  maintain your mental peace then the very first thing you should do is to stop bothering yourself with what others say. Ignore the bad words as if they don't exist and stop taking everything seriously. Not everything in the world is worth noticing."

Her statement amazed everyone. Everyone got impressed with her. Just then, she looked at Jungkook and asked, "Why are you giving me this intense look?" 

Caught off guard by her direct question, Jungkook shifts slightly in his seat, his gaze momentarily faltering before meeting hers with a blend of surprise and admiration. He clears his throat, searching for the right words to articulate the thoughts swirling in his mind.

"I'm sorry if I was staring," he begins, his voice betraying a hint of nervousness. "It's just... I couldn't help but notice how passionate you are about your beliefs. The way you speak about your ideology with such conviction and sincerity, it's truly inspiring." 

She studies him for a moment, her expression softened by his sincerity. A small smile tugs at the corners of her lips as she responds, "Thank you for your kind words. It means a lot to me to know that my ideology resonates with others."

Taehyung interrupts and said, "That's why she is my girl. This is the reason why I chose her. She is very brave and bold. I love everything about her specially the way she handles everything."

Jhope - "That's really impressive. You deserve the world. I wish you both a happy and successful life ahead."

Jin - "By the way, when are you both going to have engagement? Can we expect a engagement ceremony soon?"

Taehyung - "Yes, we will be having an engagement ceremony soon. My parents came today and we talked about this. They will soon fix a date."

Suga - "Atleast, this time we can expect an invitation from your side."

Taehyung with a sweet smile and blushing face said - "Yes, you all are invited. Please come to our engagement."

Sanem's mind swirls with conflicting emotions. On the surface, she maintains a composed demeanor, nodding politely as the people across the room discusses the details of her impending engagement. Yet, beneath the façade of compliance, a sense of unease gnaws at her.
