A Memory of Two: Lost and Found

Betrayal

Jungkook - "Hmm..."

Sanem - "Please don't suffer because of me. I never wanted to be in such a situation."

A sudden sense of realization hits him considering that Sanem is hurt because she feels pain in her heart seeing him upset.

Jungkook consoles and says, "Don't worry Jellybean. See, I am all okay and right besides you. You don't have to live with a monster. I will protect you. I'll take you from here soon and burns down everything that hurts you. Nobody has right to torture you. I won't tolerate it at any cost."

Sanem with her half opened and softened eyes, glances at him. The thought of leaving him gives cold shivers to her spine but she musters up all her courage and says, "Leave."

Jungkook's eyes widened in disbelief, his mind unable to comprehend what he was hearing so he asks - "What?"

Sanem - "Leave Jungkook. I am all okay with Taehyung."

Jungkook stays stunned, he could not believe what he just heard with shivering lips and dead eyes, he asks, "Were you close to him?"

Sanem lowers her eyelids and nods in acceptance. 

Jungkook - "Look at my face while replying."

To this, Sanem turns her head in the opposite side and says in firm tone, "Please, leave. I am already engaged and soon going to marry." 

Jungkook with his watery eyes asks, "Didn't you ever feel connected to me?"

"No. Now, please leave. I don't want any further conversation." Sanem says in shivering voice, each word feeling like a dagger to her own heart.

Jungkook moves out from the room in shock with heavy steps. His heart aches. He draws his lifeless body and goes downstairs.  

Sanem lays like a corpse, as if someone has taken the life out of her body. Tears rolled down from her eyes and suddenly all the colors of her life washes away, turning everything dark for her. The world around her falls apart. His innocent face stuck in her mind and the last glimpse of him leaving, weakens her nerves and veins. Blood starts freezing and her heart aches remembering the desperation in Jungkook's voice.

Seeing Jungkook in lobby, Seokjin says, "Hey Jungkook, good boy. You came by yourself after your shift gets over."

Jungkook remains silent for a moment with his lower head, his mind couldn't process anything.

He says in a very tired tone, "she is awake now."

Taehyung and Seokjin rushes to the room to see her while Jimin gives a strange look across Jungkook's face. He asks, "what happened?"

Jungkook doesn't reply and leave for his home. Jimin raise his eyebrows in surprise and mumbles to himself, "now, what's wrong with him?" 

Soon, Jimin also goes to see Sanem. Taehyung sits besides her on the bed while Seokjin stands behind Taehyung.

Taehyung - "How are you feeling now?"

Sanem in hurtful tone says, "Dead."

Taehyung in soft voice says, "Hey don't say like this. Tell me, are you feeling any sort of pain somewhere?"

Sanem lowers her eyelids a bit, nods once and pointing out her heart, she says, "Here! Exactly here."

Confusion flickers across everyone's face in the room. All the men stressed their eyebrows a bit and Seokjin asks, "What? I mean how?"

Jimin in worrisome tone suggests, "Taehyung, you should call the doctor."

"Yes, you are right." Taehyung starts dialing in hurry moving out of the room. 

Jimin asks Seokjin to call the maids to so that they could help out Sanem. Seokjin also moves out of the room in hurry.

Jimin, sits on the chair and asks in calm tone, "Why did it hurt?"

Sanem gives a confused look at his face and asks, "Means?"

"Your heart" Jimin asks with a small pout. 

Sanem says in a lost voice - "It was made to hurt."

Jimin - "Did you weep?"

Sanem with her raised eyebrows - "hmm....?"

Jimin - "When it hurts?"

Sanem - "No."

Jimin - "Then, I assume clouds would have entered in the room to rain"

She gives a blank look to him and stays silent. Soon, Taehyung comes to her doctor and explains to him, "See doctor, she says her heart pains."

Doctor gives a confused look at Taehyung's and Sanem's face and says, "Okay, let me examine first."

Jimin goes out of the room and by the time Seokjin comes up with the maids. Both the maids get inside. Doctor asks to Sanem - "Do you have any idea why your heart is aching? Did it happen ever before? Are you already taking any medicine for this? Because I can find none for heart."

Sanem looks around uncomfortably. Doctor says to Taehyung, "Can you please give us a minute sir?"

Listening this, everyone moves out of the room and now Sanem says to doctor, "Doctor, please. I don't want any medicine. I want some peace. Don't prescribe anything."

Doctor gives her a surprise look and says, "But Sir said that you are in pain."

She pleads and say, "Doctor, please. I am all okay. Just need some space and I will be fine but I request, you don't reveal this to Taehyung. It's a request of your patient."

Doctor in confused tone says, "Okay, but don't stress out yourself. You need bed rest for now."

As soon as he moves out, Taehyung asks, "Doctor. What happened to her?"

Doctor - "Don't worry. She needs rest and a stress free life. She will be fine in few days."

Taehyung sighed in relief and Jimin goes with doctor to see off him. 

Taehyung quickly goes to her and sits beside her saying, "You need to take of yourself. Please take your medicines on time."

Then, he turns his head to maids and almost scolds them, "You both are hired for what? Weren't you told before joining that you are her personal maids. What are you taking care of?"

 Both of them bow down and ask for apology. Taehyung - "Now, go and prepare lunch for us. She has to take her medicine." The maids run as if their lives are on stake. 

Seokjin interrupts, "I think now we should leave. You take care of her."

He looks at Sanem and says, "Sister in law, you have to stay healthy and fine. You are precious for all of us."

Sanem nods with a wither and fake smile and bows to him from bed before leaving. Meanwhile, Taehyung's cheeks turns red. He blushes so hard. He goes downstairs to see off them.

He quickly runs to his room skipping some steps of stairs. He hugs her and while caressing her hair he says, "Everything is fine pumpkin. Don't stress out yourself. I am sorry that I scared you today. It's all my fault. I swear I won't ever speak in volumes in front of you. You can punish me however you want. I will accept everything but don't take pressure of anything. You are precious to me. Please stay happy and fine."
