A Memory of Two: Lost and Found

Taehyung nods. She gets up to move and he also quickly gets up. She gives him a strange look but he doesn't care. He asks, "You wanna go upstairs?"

Sanem - "I don't know. Maybe I will go to library. Usually, after breakfast I go to library."

He immediately lifts her up in his arms like bridal style but this time some maids were around so they gasps in little with surprise while seeing them like this. He says to her, "Let me take you there." Sanem hears the little gasps and chuckling voices so she feels a little embarrass. She tucks her head in his chest while wrapping her hands around his torso to avoid any eye contacts from anyone. Taehyung understands her situation so he orders in a little loud voice, "Everyone lower your eyes. My fiancée doesn't like to be watched closely." Hearing this, Sanem gives him a surprised look for a while with her widen eyes, her face heats up. But she finds him smiling at her mischievously, so she again buries her face into his chest and mumbles, "move now please."

He enjoys her shyness and carefully carries her in the library. There he places her on the chair and stands beside her. He notices her crimson face, he bends down to her face and asks, "which one do you want?"

Sanem gulps before saying - "Dostoevsky. That one on the first row of second shelf."

So, he brings the book to her and she starts reading. Taehyung sits across the table and stares her with soften eyes. He enjoyed all the scenario that happened some moments ago. An innocent smile spread across his face. After a while, Sanem says - "Stop it."

Taehyung with a little pout - "What?"

Sanem - "Staring me."

Taehyung - "Why? You do your work."

Sanem - "I can't focus."

Taehyung - "What distracts you? You told me that Hana and Bong Cha usually hovered around you. Then?"

Sanem - "but they never...." and she stops in middle.

Taehyung with raised eyebrows asks - "What?"

Sanem murmurs in soft tone - "nothing. Stop looking at me with those eyes."

Taehyung with a brief smile asks - "What eyes?"

With this statement, the silence fell across the library. They both share an intense gaze. Taehyung looks straight in her eyes. But soon, Sanem indulges herself in the book again without answering his question. So, he also doesn't say anything and starts looking at her face. He feels pleasure to see her in front of him. After some minutes, Sanem asks him, "What are you doing here?"

Taehyung - "the same thing that you're doing."

Sanem - "What are you reading?"

 Taehyung with a soft smile - "You."

Sanem raise her eyebrows in surprise. She asks, "What in me?"

Taehyung - "Your expressions and your eyes."

Sanem rolled her eyes and says - "Stop it. I want to read this book."

Taehyung suddenly remembers something so he says, "I am giving you break for five minutes from me." And he moves out of the room.

Sanem sighs and start reading again. She gets so delved in the book that she doesn't notices Taehyung's presence until he clears his throat standing beside her. She uplifts her eyes and looks at him blinking multiple times. He smiles and says, "I forgot about it. Yesterday, I bought something for you." And he places a box in front of her which clearly shows that it's a smartphone. She fills with surprise and her mouth open a little with joy seeing the gift. She cherishes the gift and opens it while standing up from the chair. When she sees a phone inside it, she couldn't control her happiness and hugs Taehyung wrapping her arms around his back and burying her face in his chest, she says in joyous voice, "thank you."

Taehyung with a bright smile while hugging her asks - "Do you like it?"

 Sanem nods while staying in his arms. He pats her head, places his chin on her head gently and says, "Yesterday only I bought it in the evening while returning from studio. I had an idea that you would like it and I am happy that you really like it."

Taehyung feels great joy seeing her happy and above all it's first time when she herself hugs him. A sense of comfort hits him when he feels her in his arms. When she parts away, she looks at the smartphone and asks, "Does it have a SIM?"

Taehyung nods. She checks the phone and asks, "Whose numbers are there in the contact list?"

Taehyung - "First of all, mine."

She checks the contact list and there was a number with a name "mine."

She asks with stretched eyebrows, "Who is this?"

Taehyung - "Me. I saved it like that and you dare not to change it. I belong to you so you should save my number like that."

Sanem rolled her eyes but with a sweet smile she checks other contacts. Taehyung feeds the contact of his parents, Hana and Bong Cha and Jimin. He continues, "I saved his number because whenever you need anything and not find me around, you can contact him. He will never deny."

Sanem - "Give me the contact of others also. Specially Namjoon Oppa."

Taehyung gives her a surprise look and asks - "Why?"

Sanem giggles and says - "I want to congratulate him."

Taehyung gives her a confused look and asks, "Why? What happened?"

Sanem - "I saw in the news that he is standing for presidential election."

Taehyung hardly suppress his laughter and says, "Let me dial for you."

When Namjoon picks up the call, he asks, "What now Taehyung? I am resting."

Taehyung - "Hyung, Sanem wants to talk to you."

Namjoon - "Why? Is everything fine?"

Taehyung - "That you hear from her."

He hands over the call to her. Sanem - "Namjoon Oppa, congratulations."

Namjoon in surprise asks - "Why?"

Sanem - "You are going to stand for the presidential elections. I saw it in the news."

Namjoon stays silent for a moment but Taehyung bursts into laughter. Sanem doesn't understands anything. She looks at him with innocent face. Namjoon calmly replies, "Listen. They are army. They did it for fun. I am not in any politics. So, you also don't take it seriously. Okay..."

Sanem feels stupid in front of him and says - "Sorry. I didn't realize it."

Namjoon - "Oh come on! beautiful ladies never apologize. And you are such an innocent soul that you believed it. It's okay. No need to feel sorry about it."

Sanem - "I am such an idiot."

Namjoon - "No, you are not. You are innocent and get caught by that scoundrel Taehyung. Just relax. Everything is fine and you call me your brother so never apologize for anything from now onwards. Just take good care of yourself."

With this conversation, they hung up. Sanem looks at Taehyung with angry eyes but says nothing. He gets cautious and asks, "Are you angry with me?"
