A Memory of Two: Lost and Found

Confession

"Wait. NO. Stop Taehyung." Namjoon says while holding him back to reach Jungkook.

The situation gets awkward when Namjoon and Jimin appeared out of nowhere. They came to meet Jungkook but when they just half-opened the door, they heard Jungkook's confession of love towards Sanem and stop then and there. They slowly step back and peep through a little space of the door to eavesdrop their conversation as it seemed serious to them. After sometime, Taehyung reached at the door of Jungkook and see both of them standing outside the door. He fasten his steps to inspect the situation and see Sanem with Jungkook through the little space. Before Namjoon and Jimin could feel his presence, he barged into the room like a storm leaving everyone in surprise.

His voice turns into growls in rage when he asks, "why are you here?"

Startled with his behavior, she couldn't reply because of fear. Jungkook comes in front of her and says, "Don't behave like this. You are scaring her. I will explain everything to you."

Namjoon's grip get tighten over Taehyung's arm in order to stop him. He said aggressively, "Taehyung, hear him out first."

"Why?" Taehyung screams in absolute rage while looking straight into her eyes. His red eyes started getting watery. 

Jimin quickly comes between Taehyung and Jungkook. He tries to calm him down by holding his shoulder from the front. Taehyung with gritted teeth says, "I will kick your ass down and strangle you to death Jungkook."

Panic starts flowing in Sanem's blood. Her feet starts shivering and her hands shows the symptoms of anxiety with hitched breathing. Jungkook stands right in front of her facing Taehyung. This time he yells louder, "stoppppp."

Everything pause for a while. He continues, "I called her, that's why she is here."

Taehyung while giving murderous look asks, "why?"

Jungkook takes a deep sigh and says, "because...", he pauses a bit, then says, "because I love her."

Everyone looks at him with great surprise. Jimin turns his head in great shock to him and says, "wooaaaa....."

The color drains from Taehyung's face as he overhears Jungkook's confession. The shock quickly turns to anger, his jaw tightening as he steps forward, fists clenched. He again started to juggle to get away from Namjoon's arms and this time he succeed because Namjoon's whole attention was on Jungkook and this made his grip loosened.

"Who do you think you are?" Taehyung roars, his voice shaking with fury. "How dare you to profess your love for my fiancée right in front of me?"

Before Jungkook can respond, Taehyung's already lost his temper. He lunges at Jungkook, his fist connecting with Jungkook's jaw in a swift, brutal motion. The room falls silent. He grips his bruised jaw, trying to steady himself as he looks up at Taehyung, who's still seething. Jimin immediately hold Taehyung again accompanied with Namjoon and parted them away. Taehyung's rage crossed it's all limits. It was getting harder for Namjoon and Jimin to get hold of him. 

Just then, Sanem rushes between them, her eyes filled with distress. "Stop it! Both of you, stop!" she pleads, her voice trembling. "Please, just calm down!"

Taehyung's breathing is heavy, his rage simmering beneath the surface as he tries to regain control. Jungkook, dazed and hurting, takes a step back, giving Taehyung the space to cool down. Jimin and Namjoon watched with wide eyes, the tension in the room palpable.

In the midst of the chaos, Sanem tries to mediate, her heart aching as she realizes the depth of the emotions swirling around her. The peaceful living room is now a battleground, and the future of their relationships hangs in the balance.

Hearing her voice, Taehyung calms down a bit. Mustering up all her courage, she stands right in front of him and asks Jimin and Namjoon to release him. They loosened their grips. She says in a serious tone, "stand properly." 

Taehyung gives her a death stare. She continues, "dare not to hit him."

Taehyung stands dumbfounded looking to her face. She asks, "what do you want?"

Taehyung doesn't reply. She hold his hand and asks again, "tell me, what do you want Kim Taehyung?"

Taehyung replied looking straight into her eyes, "you. Only you."

"You can't get me by caging me." she says in a firm tone.

"I have never caged you. I am just protecting you. I don't want anyone to hurt you." He replies.

"But you are hurting me." She says in a pleading voice. "Stop doing this."

He holds her right arm and says, "let's sort out the rest at home." And with this statement, he starts dragging her but she stops him and asks with teary eyes, "I will come with you but...."

Taehyung turns around and give her a comprehensive stare at her face. She continues with broken voice, "one last time Taehyung...."

Taehyung couldn't understand her actions. He stands with confused eyes to listen her. She continues in her broken voice, "can I just fulfill my last wish before leaving? It's..... It's just last. Please."

Taehyung gives her a perplexed look while making arch like eyebrows. She releases her arms from his grip and goes straight to Jungkook leaving everyone dumbfounded. She looks into his eyes and says in sad and low voice, "maybe in next life..... Kookie."

And before anyone could understand she hugs him and says, "thank you. Thank you for loving me and sorry for everything that happened to you because of me."

Namjoon and Jimin widen their eyes with shock and astonishment. Taehyung clenched his fist in anger. Jungkook, still reeling from the punch and the intensity of the moment, stiffens at first, then relaxes into the embrace. He closes his eyes, savoring the brief connection, even as he knows it's bittersweet.

Across the room, Taehyung watches in disbelief. His fists are still clenched, but now it's not just anger he feels—it's a deep, gnawing hurt. Seeing Sanem hug Jungkook, the man who just tried to steal her away, feels like a betrayal, a knife twisting in his chest. Taehyung's heart races, a mix of jealousy, pain, and fear flooding his senses. He feels like the ground beneath him is crumbling, leaving him unsteady and unsure.

As Sanem steps back from Jungkook, Taehyung's expression hardens. He can't shake the image of her in another man's arms, showing kindness and gratitude that he feels should belong only to him. The trust he's always had in their relationship wavers, and a dark cloud of doubt begins to settle over his thoughts. Every glance, every word between them now feels loaded with new meaning, and he wonders if he's losing her to the very man she's just comforted.
