Miami, Florida
Few Hours Later...

Please excuse any mistakes❤️

On the other side of town, Cicely and Novah were at her home not knowing anything of what had happened. No one had been able to identify the two bodies found in the wreckage as of yet, so no one was able to inform any family.

"Where my daddy go, ma?"

Novah had heard Treyton call Cicely "ma" so much that she thought it was what she had to call her as well. She was slowly, but surely, growing into her dad's mini.

"He went to get your mommy. He should've been here now, though. Let me try to call."

As Cicely got up to go and retrieve her house phone, there was a soft knock on her door. She immediately stopped in her tracks being that no one called and informed her they'd be stopping by today. Even Treyton would have called.

"Door, ma! Get the door!"

"I'm going, girl. Hush."

Cicely cautiously walked to her door before the knocking slowly turned into a soft banging. Her heart immediately began to race. She did not want to think what had happened to her before, but she was being slightly triggered.

"ANYONE HOME? YO?"

She couldn't make out the deep voice that was traveling through her home. It didn't sound familiar, nor did the person sound like a threat. She was till careful as she responded without actually opening up the door once she reached it.

"Who's there?"

"Uh my name Jacob. I'm trying to get some help with my car. I broke down up the street; nobody is answering their door to offer a hand."

"I don't think I'll be much help, young man. Maybe I can call somebody for you."

"NO! Uh that's okay. Could I maybe come in? It's a bit chilly out here."

Cicely didn't like the sound of that. She wasn't necessarily buying the story either knowing that all of her surrounding neighbors are some of the sweetest people she's ever met; they would help anyone.

" I'm not sure that's a good idea, sir. Let me call someone to help you."

Even though she knew she wouldn't be opening her door for the stranger, she was still willing to offer her help.

"Nah. That's okay. I'll try another house."

With that, she heard the person turn around and walk away. She didn't hear anything after that, not even the unknown man walking around the side and eventually the back of her home.

"Let me call ya' daddy, Novah girl. They should not be thing long."

"Yeah. Call my daddy. Now."

Cicely just shook her head at the little demand and successfully made it to the phone this time. As she picked it up and began searching the wall board next to it for Trey's name, Novah made her way into the kitchen to retrieve her doll.

"Where you going, Peaches?"

"Get my baby, ma. It crying so loud."
