The human mind is truly the scariest thing of all.
It can conjure up the most terrifying scenarios and make them feel all too real. That's what happened to Abrill when she woke up in the middle of the night to find a shadowy figure standing at the foot of her bed.
She couldn't move, couldn't scream, couldn't even breathe. The figure just stood there, watching her with its dark, empty eyes. Abrill tried to tell herself it was just a trick of the light or a figment of her imagination, but she knew deep down that it was something much more sinister.
As the figure started to move closer, Abrill realized that the only thing scarier than the human mind was the unknown entity that could take control of it.
