Yeonjun was making Beomgyu coffee. He listened to the water pouring into the mug as he stared at the ring still sitting on the table where Beomgyu left it. He sighed and sat the mug next to his breakfast as Beomgyu came out of their room."Smells good." He said as he sat down.
"Thanks." He sat with him.
"Do you have a long day?"
Yeonjun shook his head. "Don't think so but I'll tell you if that changes. Why?"
"...want to have a movie night tonight? Popcorn, pizza?"
"I'd love that Beomgyu."
"But before that, I want to pick you up from work and take you somewhere."
Beomgyu cocked an eyebrow. "Where are we going?"
"You'll see when we get there." He grinned at him. "It's a surprise."
"You know I-"
"Hate surprises? Absolutely, which makes this exciting for me." He teased with a small laugh.
Beomgyu smiled a little and shook his head.
Yeonjun glanced at his ring on the table again. This was all up to him, Beomgyu really wants a divorce. The only reasons he's still here is because Yeonjun convinced him he could change. All of his efforts was for keeping their relationship together and it scared him.
What if this wasn't enough?
Everything he had planned already, if it wasn't enough for Beomgyu he could lose him and he already agreed to sign.
His head filled with the thought of him not being around, not being able to hold him anymore, he wouldn't be able to hear his nagging or his cute snores at night. All the love he felt from Beomgyu would leave with him.
It scared him. Losing Beomgyu terrified him. After everything he's been through losing him would be the final straw.
"Yeonjun?"
"Yes?"
Beomgyu was looking at him a bit worriedly. "You stopped eating and you look pale. Are you sick?"
Yeonjun noticed the way he lifted his hand for a second, almost as if he wanted to touch his head to make sure he wasn't feverish but quickly masked it with grabbing his drink and moving it closer to him.
"No, I'm sorry I'm alright. I was just thinking about something."
Beomgyu stared at him for a moment before looking away and eating again. They cleaned up together and soon went to leave for work but before that Yeonjun stopped Beomgyu for a moment.
"What is it?" Beomgyu asked.
Yeonjun stood in front of him, heart racing. He felt like he was talking to a high school crush and technically he was. He would always have a rush on Beomgyu like a child.
"Can...can I kiss you?"
"No."
"On the cheek?" Yeonjun asked pointing to his own cheek, showing him where he'd kiss him.
"No."
"Hand?" He asked once more raising his own hand showing the back of it as he smiled at him.
Beomgyu sighed and nodded. Yeonjun took his left hand and paused before he kissed it to look at his husband. Their eyes glued to each other before he closed them and kissed his hand, chaste yet sweet and Beomgyu's body was on fire.
He gently pulled his hand away and cleared his throat. "Better now?"
"Wait I wanna kiss."
"I'm not kissing your hand."
