Beomgyu had fallen asleep on the couch after they finished cleaning the kitchen and Yeonjun carried him to bed, tucking him in. He stared at him for several moments, he wanted to climb in next to him, kiss him, but he didn't because him and Beomgyu weren't sure where they stood anymore. He ruined that.He stepped out the room and closed the door. Mrs. Choi was standing and looking at him.
"Come sit. Let's talk."
Yeonjun nodded and did as he was told, sitting down next to the woman.
"I'm glad to see you Yeonjun-ah, but I have to say. I was very disappointed when I heard what happened."
"I know mom and I'm really sorry for hurting him. I was dealing with so much I didn't know what to do."
"I know sweetheart." She sighed. "There's a lot of things Beomgyu hasn't told you because he hasn't dealt with it yet. The difference is that Beomgyu is very good at hiding when something bothers him."
She looked at Yeonjun. "When he came home...that was the first time in years that I saw my son cry. He fell to his knees and cried like a baby because of you, it really broke me to see him like that. Beomgyu loves you, he's so in love with you Yeonjun. He's giving this so many chances because if he did lose you completely...that would destroy him."
She gently held his hand. "Please, I need both of you to work together this time around. No more miscommunication and not communicating. You both have to be transparent."
"I understand mom I'm really sorry."
"Don't be." She touched his face. "You're getting help and you're encouraging Beomgyu to go to couples therapy. I'm proud of you Yeonjunnie."
...
Yeonjun paced back and forth inside of the Dr. Ahn's office.
"We go to couples therapy tomorrow." He was squeezing a stress ball that Ahn gave him. "And I never told him anything, what if he hears it and looks at me differently or thinks I was overreacting, or–"
"You're anxious. Therapy can be very scary for anyone who has tried their hardest to avoid the mirror. You finally faced yourself but now you have to reveal yourself...the things you've hid away to the person you love the most. It's hard to be vulnerable in front of people you trust out of fear of them leaving."
"Exactly! He'll hear it and he'll leave or regret marrying me and then this would've been for nothing!"
"Nothing?" He giggled. "Yeonjun, you've come so far and Beomgyu has never given you a reason to not trust him, has he?"
He stopped pacing and shook his head. "No, he hasn't."
"You have to trust your husband."
"I do I do! It's just...I've messed up so much what if I mess up again?"
"What if you don't?"
...
Beomgyu and Yeonjun arrived at the therapy office.
"Thank you for being here." Yeonjun whispered to him.
"Thank you for inviting me." He whispered back.
The doctor called them into the office and they sat together on the couch. Yeonjun fidgeted with his fingers and the woman smiled at the two of them.
"Good morning. I understand that you are both here under Dr. Ahn's recommendation?"
"Yes, she's my therapist." Yeonjun answered. "She's wonderful and so I trusted her."
"And Beomgyu I understand this is your first time, yes?"
