Yeonjun and Beomgyu got back to the house and started putting the groceries away. When they finished Beomgyu grabbed two glasses.

"Water, coffee, tea, juice?"

"Water is fine, thanks." They sat at the table to talk. "It's crazy running into you. I thought you were still with Kai this entire time."

"I couldn't do that to him and Soobin." He said with a small laugh. "My mom let me move back in temporarily."

"How is she?"

"She's good, you know how she is? She loves teaching kids so she's always doing what she can for them and the community. They're at a field trip today to the zoo."

"Sounds exciting." He brought the glass to his lips before setting it back down as he looked at Beomgyu. "It took me a while to understand how you felt." He said and Beomgyu looked at him. "I think I didn't want to try and understand. I wanted to push the feeling away and I push you away in the process and for that I truly am sorry Beomgyu. I never meant to hurt you."

Beomgyu's eyes softened. "I'm just glad you're alright."

"But I'm not. Not completely." He says and looks at his ring. "I don't want to bring this up so quickly and here of all places but we need to talk eventually. I'm ready."

Beomgyu thought he'd never hear those words.

He felt his eyes start to brim with tears and he quickly stood up. "That's great to hear I'm going to get myself more water."

Yeonjun watched him and noticed the way he tried to quickly wipe his face.

...

Beomgyu was standing with his mom as he stirred the pot of vegetables.

"Dice don't chop Junnie."

"Yes Mom." He said as he was cutting more stuff for them.

Mrs. Choi was making dumplings, rice, pork bulgogi and noodles.

Yeonjun brought over the last of the vegetables to Beomgyu. Their hands touched briefly as he handed over the bowl, both seemed to blush at the sudden contact. Yeonjun cleared his throat and looked around.

"Um...need help?"

"Do I need help stirring the pot? Maybe, I mean you're kinda a master at that aren't you?" He teased.

"Oooo ouch, that stung." He rubbed his chest jokingly. "I'll ignore it because you're cute."

Beomgyu blushed heavily and playfully elbowed him. Mrs. Choi noticed the two quietly laughing together and couldn't help but smile.

They sat together for dinner once it was all finished and got to talk.

"Yeonjunnie-ah, how are you doing?"

"Good, I've missed you a lot Mom. You look younger every time I see you."

She blushed a little. "Awww, you flatter me too much. You look good, eating right and exercising. You could gain a little more weight though."

"If I come more I would probably gain 30 pounds because of you."

"Because a full stomach is good. Did Beomgyu tell you about his promotion?"

"He did." Yeonjun looked at him and Beomgyu looked at him. "I'm very proud of him."

Mrs. Choi looked in between the two of them.

"He's gone too long without a promotion. Probably because he was so busy dealing with me, it's good though. That they see you for what you really are at the company. A great asset."

Beomgyu smiled at him. "What about work with you?"

"Me?" He rubbed the back of his neck. "Uhhhh..." he looked at Mrs. Choi and Beomgyu. "I got...fired?"

"You what?"

Yeonjun laughed a little. "Yeah it's uhhh...kind of a long story but after things happened I started missing deadlines. The spiraling of everything is what made me go to therapy, I started working out and I have a new job. One I'm actually happy about."

"What is it?" Beomgyu asked.

"I went back to school and I'm working on getting an internship to work with neglected children. Kids who are like...me."

"Yeonjun that's amazing."

"Thanks. If I can help at least one kid then that'll bring me peace. I spent so long trying not to think about my parents and what happened that it took losing everything and I wouldn't wish that on anyone." He looked at Beomgyu. "I can thank you for that. Everything that happened with you lead me to finally better myself for you and for me."

"That really is amazing Yeonjun." Mrs. Choi smiled. "We're truly so proud of you."

They started cleaning up. Beomgyu made his mom relax in the living room while they took care of everything else.

"I've missed you." Yeonjun said while not looking at him.

"I've missed you too."

"And...I won't accept a divorce." He stopped what he was doing and turned to look at him. "My therapist recommended couples therapy and I thought if you maybe would want-"

"Yes." He looked at him. "I think it's a great idea."

"Really?"

"Yeonjun...I don't want you to think that I really want a divorce. I need you to understand that I want this to work more than anything...but you not talking to me, not being honest with me...it hurt. Honesty is all I ever wanted and I want you Yeonjun. I love you."

He swallowed and nodded, the tears starting to run down his cheek.

"I would've taken you back after some time, after you could prove to me that you wanted to get better. For you and for us Yeonjun."

"I do." He reached for him and Beomgyu took a small step back.

"Baby steps. You hurt me Yeonjun, then you promised you wouldn't and you hurt me again. We need time."

"You're right." He nodded and tucked his hands away. "Sorry."

Beomgyu gave him a small smile and turned back to finish cleaning and Yeonjun did the same.

Every time we see Beomgyu interact with Yeonjun a lot of times he's smiling. I think, you all haven't seen how much the fight really effected Beomgyu. We'll talk about it more later in the next few chapters, but Yeonjun is Beomgyu's happiness. He's good at hiding when he's upset.
