Yeonjun and Beomgyu weren't speaking.

It had been almost a week. Beomgyu stopped trying to talk to him and Yeonjun never made an effort. They would walk past each other and it was worse than it was before. Everyone around them noticed, Beomgyu didn't talk about Yeonjun with anyone and when Yeonjun would talk to Soobin he stopped answering him. He would simply shake his head and walk away.

Yeonjun's mother's words echoed in his head. The only reason Beomgyu would go back to Taehyun was because he was unhappy again. She said many other things that Yeonjun didn't want to think about. It reminded him of when he was a kid and how hard he tried to erase all of the things they'd say from his head.

It was noisy. He hated the noise.

They stopped sleeping together but Yeonjun saw he was still wearing his ring so he didn't feel any sense of urgency. A feeling that he should've been feeling but he had long forgotten what it looked like when his husband was slipping away, because he had tried to ignore it for so long. He had always run from his responsibilities.

"I'm worried about you." Soobin says one day. "You aren't eating."

"...you haven't been talking to me."

Soobin sighed. "Because you're being a fool." He says as he glared at him. "You're going to lose him."

"I just don't know what to do."

He watched the taller male rub his forehead, clearly looking annoyed. "Then I don't know what to tell you Yeonjun. Just be prepared for the worst." He walked away and Yeonjun felt numb.

He was feeling extremely exhausted and part of him didn't even want to talk about what was happening. He stepped outside for fresh air before going back inside and quietly finishing up his work day.

He ended up staying late and was the last one out of the office. He locked up and headed down stairs, when he rounded the corner outside he jumped seeing Taehyun.

He didn't look angry or even surprised, just confused.

"What...are you doing here?"

"You really fucked up." He said.

Yeonjun sighed and was about to walk past him. "I don't feel well so if you'll excuse me-"

"It's already too late Yeonjun." He called. "I warned you already. He was going to get fed up sooner or later."

Yeonjun sighed and stopped to look at him.

"Why did you talk to him? We were doing fine until you showed up again."

"No." He snapped. "You're doing fine because you finally put in effort. All he has ever wanted was honesty from you and effort. You couldn't even do that for him."

"I'll talk when I'm ready."

"But what if he's no longer willing to listen now?"

Those words echoed in his head and he felt it in his chest. It tightened and he swallowed the lump in his throat.

"I don't feel bad for you, but I do feel bad for Beomgyu and not because I love him unlike you because he wasted his time. He had so much faith in you and you lied to him."

"I didn't lie!"

"You promised him."

"I'm scared you'll hurt me again."

"I promised, didn't I?"

Yeonjun didn't say anything. "He...he didn't say anything about feeling weird so how am I supposed to know?"

"You're doing the same thing to him."

He sucked his teeth. "If you have something you wanna say then say it because I'm going home."

Taehyun just shook his head. "Bye Yeonjun." He walked away and Yeonjun went to his car and drove home.

Everything that everyone was saying was suddenly ringing in his head and he hated it. He hated the noise. He tried to shake off the feeling, he felt heavy and all he wanted to see was Beomgyu after a day like this one.

He got home and walked inside.

"I'm home!" He called.

He toed off his shoes and looked around. It felt off.

It was quiet. Too quiet.

He slowly walked around and that's when he saw it. The light bounced off the Diamond all so beautifully like the day he bought it. The ring sitting on the table back where Beomgyu originally took it off.

He stared at it not realizing his feet were already moving toward their room. He flung the door open and the overwhelming feeling of pure fear rang through his body.

"No." He whispered as he saw that there were things missing from their room. Many of it being Beomgyu's things. He saw one of the drawers weren't closed all the way and checked them, pulling each one out and closing it when he confirmed that Beomgyu's clothes were gone. He checked the closet and half of the clothes were gone there too. The bathroom was also feeling empty, Beomgyu's tooth brush and hair brush were gone. His liquid soap and cologne too. His make up bag.

He was gone.

He left him.

Yeonjun started patting his pockets and took out his phone. He didn't know when the tears started but his call went straight to voicemail. He sank to the floor and kept trying over and over and over. Sitting in the middle of their half empty bedroom, any warmth that was once there left with him.

Yeonjun couldn't see through his tears and before he knew it he had finally collapsed to the floor. The exhaustion and stress from the past few weeks finally caught up and Beomgyu leaving didn't help, he laid their limp on the floor. A cold sweat covering his body, he trembled slightly as if he was cold, and his head was pounding.

Beomgyu went to Kai's and Kai called Soobin to check on Yeonjun and when Soobin called and didn't get an answer he rushed over. Scared that Yeonjun did something stupid, his door was left unlocked and he ran in finding him on the floor.

"Yeonjun!" He dropped to his knees and touched him. "Shit, you're burning up." He called for an ambulance.

He never knew the pain of a broken heart until today.
