XXIV - Incident

Yawn..
A few days have passed by, since Solvver's transfer.
Nothing was happening, Solvver hasn't done anything yet, for now.
The coast is clear, we're safe.
As long as we don't interact, we will be safe, hopefully.
Today is Thursday, and it's somewhere around the third period now. I'm having Physics with DogDay.
So far, I'm just sleeping in class.. again. I still kept my ears perked though.
The professer was talking about something called.. Velocity.. then something about speed and mass.. then ressistance something.. whatever that thing is.
Even though I have had two cups of coffee this morning, my eyelids feel like they are glued shut together at all times. I can barely stay awake.
I thought I went to bed early last night? And I definitely remember having a good sleep.
Why does this always happen to me?
...
I forced my eyes open, trying to focus on what the teacher is saying.
I lifted my face up from the notebook, merely ripping a page because my sweaty face stuck to it.
I managed to just squint my eyes and look around.
Everything seems to be normal, DogDay is still holding my tail with his paws, playing with it while taking notes.
It did feel nice though, so I didn't pay any attention to it. But now it's making me think that it's the reason why I can't stay awake.
I pulled my tail away from him, then rested it onto my lap in order not to turn my long tail into a mess. DogDay pouted when I did this, making his tail sway slowly.
After I did though, my vision started to clear, my mund gets a lot less heavy. That was the answer all along!
Just then, barely a minute after I have woken up..
RING RING!
Goes the bell.. break time, great!

(D-Day) "You're finally up, sleepyhead"
(C-Nap) "I thought I slept well last night.."
(D-Day) "You've had 2 cups already, no more, it's not good. You want me to get you some water?"
(C-Nap) "Yes please"

I smiled, gaining back some energy as I allowed DogDay to lead me outside.
We're going to grab some water, and hopefully not bump into Solvver again. He stepped on my tail last time, and it is still hurting.
The hallways today are strangely loud today. I don't remember the students having a noisy chat like this.
Everything is changing since the day Solvver arrived. I, myself, don't welcome noise, my ears are sensitive, that's why.
But what can I do? Besides, it's not that bad, I can withstand it, no problem..
...
We got to ghe cafeteria safely, and it's even more crowded now.
Luckily, the vending machine nearby isn't occupied.
DogDay moseyed to it, standing on his toes to reach the highest button. He is lacking just a tiny bit more height..
After failing a few times, DogDay's posture slumps down, he defeatedly sighed.
I walked over and looked at the vending machine. I'm not that much taller than DogDay, so I'm sure that I'm unable to press it. But I have something else..
I let my tail slowly climb up the vending machine..
And.. beep!
I used my tail to press the out-of-reach button.
DogDay whined

(D-Day) "Hey! That's not fair!"
(C-Nap) "Cry about it"

I don't know why but he seems adorable like this. His anger isn't serious, it's silly, which makes it even more amusing.
I laughed at him, wrapping my tail around his abdomen to give him some comfort.
The machine shaked a little, let out some machinery sounds or something, then a bottle of mineral water ended up at the eject shaft
DogDay crouched down and got out the bottle, handing it to me

(D-Day) "It's a little cold, careful"

I gratefullt accepted the bottle. I untwisted the cap and chugged half the bottle down. I was thirsty, not really, just feeling a little dry
