**Y/N's POV**

A wise man has said on more than one occasion that he lives his life a quarter-mile at a time. I didn't even look forward to tomorrow because I knew tomorrow was promised to no one. I loved living in the moment because in those moments I forgot all about the life I was brought up in.

When I was ten my siblings, Dominic, Mia, and I lost our dad tragically when he was killed when his car was intentionally rammed off the racetrack by another driver our dad crashed into a wall at 120 mph and was killed instantly. My brother watched our dad burn in the car that night. He always said he was thankful Mia and I weren't there when it happened.

I never knew my mom. All I knew was my mom left as soon as she was discharged from the hospital after giving birth to me. There were moments in my life that I thought about her but those moments were few and far between.

I had immense respect for not only Dominic but Mia as well as they were the only ones left to raise me after we lost our dad. I didn't just look at them as my older siblings but I looked at them as my parents in ways. Dominic went to jail for two years when he was twenty-three for assaulting the guy who caused our dad's death. Leaving Dominic's girlfriend Letty and Mia to raise me while he was gone.

Once Dominic was back home he did everything in his power to make sure we never went without we now all equally owned a neighborhood corner store called Toretto's Market and Dominic's love for cars brought him into the underground car racing scene where the Toretto name carried weight. We were respected and feared whenever the Toretto siblings were behind the wheel victory was almost guaranteed.

I had an incredible love for cars because of my dad and my older brother. I could remember watching my dad and Dominic build a 1970 Dodge Charger from the ground up. I knew that once I was old enough I would have the opportunity to do the same thing with my dad but unfortunately, that never got to happen.

Us Toretto kids were huge on family, nothing meant more to us. It was a tradition since the day I was brought home from the hospital that every Sunday was for family and it always had to consist of a family barbeque.

Once I was old enough to learn how to drive Dominic taught me everything he knew about driving and about cars. Nothing calmed me down more but drawing came in at a close second. I loved the rush I felt behind the wheel racing for a fat stack of cash. Just like my older brother, I had my little crew which just so happened to consist of Dominic's best friends Vince, Jesse, and Leon's younger siblings.

Elle was Jesse's sister, Devin was Leon's brother, and Trey was Vince's brother and they were my best friends. Anytime you saw one of us another one was never far behind.
