"Is it finally over...?" Vali questioned as I held my hands on my knees. I was tired beyond measure. I had never wielded so much power at once, and spent it all in the same breath.

"...No, it's not. I don't know how, but it managed to escape..." I never got a notification from the system about defeating the boss. But, one thing is for certain, I can't sense its presence here anymore.

"You seem to know a lot about that creature. What is it?" Vali's question left me silent. Not because I didn't want to tell him about the system, but even I didn't know what it was. I had never imagined that thing was capable of leaving the tower, the system itself, in order to come to reality.

"...Would you believe me if I said I didn't know?" At my response, Vali could only laugh before looking at the destruction I caused.

"No, not really...but I'll accept that for now." At this, I gave a wry chuckle before suddenly losing my balance. I was about to fall face first into the ground, but Vali ended up catching me.

"But, more importantly, I never thought you'd follow in my footsteps. To think, you're capable of controlling Juggernaut Drive like I am...things are never boring with you around." Helping me stand up, Vali grinned towards me.

"...Don't flatter yourself." With my left hand, I pushed Vali off of me while grinning. Once back on my own two feet, I looked him straight in his eyes.

"I'm not following your footsteps. What you just saw was simply the first step to me gaining a new power to control. My goal isn't to become like you, it's to surpass you. Don't forget that."

"...Is that so? Then, I'll be looking forward to your new evolution. I won't be slacking off either." The both of us looked at the other with overflowing confidence.

"Issei!" As we stared at one another, I heard the voices of Rias and the others as they flew towards me. Everyone had a smile on their face and tears in their eyes as I waved back to them nonchalantly.

"Yo. Everything should be taken care of–"

"Issei!" Xenovia was the first one to crash into me, followed by Gasper and Koneko. I was getting dog piled by three people, and struggling to stand back up again.

"Woah woah, take it easy...! I'm still drained from that fight!" I laughed as they openly cried into my chest, and after getting solid footing back, I embraced them.

"It's alright now." I quietly said while comforting them. I probably gave them the scare of a lifetime. I could even see Akeno and Rias crying in the background, but still happy I was alive. Up above, the last person to fly down was Kiba, and in his arms he held Asia, sound asleep after being brought back from the dimensional void.

I saw her eyes flutter open after Kiba landed, and after checking I was still ok, Xenovia turned her attention back towards her best friend before repeating the process all over again. Xenovia cried in Asia's neck about how she'll always be her friend, and how she never wants Asia to leave again, confusing the poor girl.

The next people to show up were Bikou and Arthur. They walked right next to Vali who simply looked up at the sky.

"Issei Hyoudou. Look up to the sky." I already knew what to expect, but I looked up anyway, as did everyone else around me.

In the same area me and Vali had our fight, a giant rift was opening up. The sky itself had cracked, making way to a giant scar like wound that expanded with time. As the wound grew larger, something started to poke out. It was a giant crimson horn.

"Watch closely, Issei Hyoudou. For this, is what I wanted to see." Vali spoke with a smile as the behemoth of a crimson dragon started flying out from the dimensional gap. Without a care in the world, it began flying outside the rift it came from when Vali began talking again.
