Issei Hyoudou POV
"You're kidding..." Those words were the only thing I could say as I stood in front of my house.
Multiple cars were in front of my manor, and inside them were all the current female members of the O.R.C. The servants of my house were quick to open the doors for them and start bringing in their luggage. The first one out of her car and running towards me was Akeno of all people. She embraced me fully while giggling.
"Issei, your one and only Akeno has finally arrived!" After giving me a tight hug, her eyes landed on the entrance to my home before walking inside, a maid not too far behind her with all her luggage.
"I wonder what Issei's room looks like? I'll have to be sure to get a room that's close to his." Like it was the most normal thing, she just waltzed inside and was already trying to pick out a room like someone choosing their seat for the semester in class.
"Issei-senpai. I'll be in your care from here on out. If you ever need healing, feel free to come to my room..." Without warning, Koneko suddenly tugged on my shirt before bowing. She, too, walked inside my house with a butler walking behind her that carried her luggage.
"So this is Issei's house, huh? I heard it got remodeled, but I never expected it to be this big. Irina lives here as well with you, doesn't she? I'll have to get a room next to her."
"I'll be sure to arrange that, Xenovia-sama." Xenovia was next as she went through the doors. As expected of her, she was quick to try and find a room that isn't too far from Irina's.
And then, last but not least-
"Issei!" Rias had glomped me without shame. Her full weight was thrown onto me, but I was easily able to hold onto her.
"I missed you!"
"Missed me? It's only been a day since the sports festival, we saw each other yesterday at school!" Rias had acted on her word of moving in with me in only a single day. And, everyone else seemed to as well...
"That's one day too long! At least twelve hours have passed since then, and I wasn't sure how much longer I could go without seeing you. I had made sure to come here as soon as I possibly could." Rias had pouted while explaining herself to me, but this wasn't making any sense. Why was she suddenly so clingy?!
Our relationship up until this point has been one of close friends and comrades in arms. I never openly made moves on Rias, or was flirtatious with her. I mean, sure, I may have teased her a number of times, but that doesn't explain her sudden fondness of me.
"Rias, you're overexaggerating..." Finally coming back to reality, I tried to help Rias calm down, but I seemed to have poured gasoline on an open fire, as Rias suddenly hugged me tighter.
"I'm not overexaggerating at all! Issei, you said so yourself. You're a human while I'm a devil. At most, you'll only live to one hundred years, and that was before the wound you suffered! The time I have with you...the time I have left with the man I love is already limited! I respect your decision to remain human, no matter what kind of temptation that comes your way, really I do. It's one of the many reasons I came to like you. But...with how long my lifespan is, every second with you matters to me!" She had small tears pricking the corner of her eyes as I came to realize the situation I was in.
I had managed to make someone with an enhanced life span that no doubt last for countless centuries, maybe even millennia, fall in love with me. To her, my life barely lasts a fraction of hers. I was left silent while looking in her eyes. One thing about Rias Gremory is that, when she falls in love, she falls hard. Issei had the ability to live with her for countless years after becoming her servant, but me...?
