Lost In Ice (Various x Fem. Reader)

No One Can Hear You

Very short chapter, but we'll make it up in some way.

"Be...c...re....l!"

"G....a... him...."

"J...ke!"

"Wha....e....r."

Finn sat up from his bed with a gasp. Sweat dripped from his head while he gripped the blanket close to his chest.

He heaved for a few more minutes before he finally looked around.

"What happened?.... Where's the deer?" He questioned out loud, but nobody was around to answer him.

His eyes finally settled before he realized he was in the Candy Kingdom's Medic Ward. But, all the beds were empty, and no worker was in sight.

"Paging Dr. Ice Cream! Dr. Ice Cream cream for my mouth!"

...

Again, no reply or sight of anyone.

With a sigh, Finn removed the blanket from his body only to reveal that his lower half was tightly sealed in a thick cast. It reached up to his hips making it hard to move.

"Ahh, dude, I broke my stems!" He frowned. "Hello? Jake? Princess? What the blizz. Come on, people."

He continued to talk to himself before he used his arms to push himself off the hospital bed and into a wheelchair.

Using his hands, Finn pushed himself out of the Medic Ward and through the empty halls of the castle.

"Yo, is everyone at church? Worshiping Glob?"

Finn was still talking to himself as he strolled down the empty streets of the Candy Kingdom. Strangely, everyone seemed to be either avoiding him or were just not in his sight.

The Banana Guards weren't in their stations, the school seemed oddly quiet, and the local tavern seemed to be lacking its regular customers.

While passing by an alley, Finn started to lean back on his wheelchair and attempt some tricks.

"Skills! Skills!" He said to himself with a huge grin. Then, he froze when there was the sound of cans toppling down the alley he was passing.

"Bazoobs." He mumbled before turning his attention down to the alley.

He wheeled down to find where the sound was before he stopped right at a pile of trash. "Jake?"

Popping out right from a pile of trash was Jake. He had a shaggy brown cloak draped around his shoulders, partially concealing his identity with the hood over his head.

But, Finn recognized him immediately. "Huh? Oh, Finn, you're awake!" Jake perked up a little.

"Yeah, I'm awake, but my jams are all busted." Finn frowned a little while glancing at his legs.

Jake only hummed a little while rummaging through the trash some more, clearly not into the conversation. "Right. Yeah, I saw that."

Finn waited for Jake to continue, but it was getting nowhere. "Sooooo... what happened? Did you save everybody?"
