The song of the chapter is: All Again by Ella Henderson

Oh no, here we are,

Can't believe the timing, yesterday you're smiling,

I guess we both played our parts,

Very entertaining, but it's such a shame,

That we lost our way from the nights we danced,

The bands were playing,

I say I'm over you, but I'm not sure that it's true,

I am falling and I'm too weak to fly,

Now my heart's wide open,

And you're the reason why,

I've been broken from the scars that I forgave,

Spent a long time running from the mess we've made,

And oh, but I'd do it all again,

Come on heart let me in,

Days could be so bright and the weight could be lighter,

And we both know so don't pretend,

Makes it all so hard when I see that we're far,

From the way we were, oh, the nights we danced,

The bands were playing,

I say I'm over you, but I know that's not true.

          CHAPTER THIRTY SIX ― INSIGNIFICANT

IT HAS BEEN A month since Rebekah Mikaelson, my best friend, was banished from the city of New Orleans. The city itself burned bright, luminous lights flashing as tourists captured pictures on the newest of iPhones, the scent of scrumptious meals wafting up into the heavy, humid air, laughter at the joyous parades making its way down the decorative streets. It seems almost disrespectful that nobody seems to care that she's gone, except me.
