Panic Attack

Nick's POV:

I am currently walking down the hallway at school heading to the bathroom before form starts, when suddenly I just feel extremely anxious and sweaty. My breath patterns change and I hurry to the bathroom getting into a stall before sitting down against the wall. Trying to steady my breathing but ultimately failing as it comes in short breaths and my heart feels like it is racing.

I know this is a panic attack, but this feeling is still rather new to me and freaks me out. Just then I hear someone entering the bathroom and I try to quiet myself as to not bother anyone but that plan did not work and then I heard a light tap at the stall.

'You all good in there?" a voice said, which I immediately recognized as Tao's.

"No, not really." I reply breathless.

"Nick?" is that you, why is your breathing so shallow do you need me to get a nurse or something?' He asks in concern.

"Can you just find Charlie?" I ask

"You got it, hang tight." Tao replies and then I hear the bathroom door open and close.

5 minutes later.

Charlie's POV:

I just arrived at school, heading to my locker before I am stopped by Tao. He has a panicked look across his face.

"Hey, everything alright?" I ask

Tao shakes his head and begins telling me the situation with Nick. Panicked I quickly grab what I need from my locker , shutting it before bolting to the bathroom, luckily it is easy to find Nick because just one stall is occupied and the bathroom is empty besides that.

I knock gently on the stall letting him know it's me and to let me in. He opens the door and just looks so distraught. I drop my books aside and sit next to him pulling him into me softly rubbing circles on his back and kissing his head.

"Shhh, it's alright, I'm here now. I say softly as I try to calm him. I take a few deep breaths with him while he is still snuggled into my side. After a few minutes he's settled and I ask him what happened.

He explains that he had just gotten to school and just felt very anxious, not really knowing the reason as to why. I stand up bringing him up with me and pull him into a tight hug.

"Thank you for coming so fast." He says helping me grab my books as we head out of the bathroom towards form.

"Of course, that's what I'm here for darling." I reply grabbing his free hand into mine as we continue walking to class.
