(With Arin's group near the Monastery, in Cole's POV)|

"Master Wu?"

I opened the mech hatch and stared at the spirit in shock and disbelief. "Is it... is it really you?" I asked, hesitating.

The spirit merely floated away, making us follow along. Once inside the building, I noticed a bunch of portal entryways everywhere. But the spirit of my master was gone.

"Master Wu, where'd you go?" I tried looking around but found nothing.

Arin pointed at something, "Cole, look!"

"More Portal Gates?" I questioned.

Emma looked around, "Dad? Aren't these similar to the ones you described back at the Monastery of Spinjitzu?"

I nodded, "Yes. But I'm confused as to why this Monastery has more of these gates than the others."

"Is that the Cloud Kingdom?" The orange Ninja asked, "Guess we know where that gate goes."

I moved the mech closer to one of the gates, "That looks like Mysterium," then found another familiar location, "And there's the Land of Lost Things."

Emma climbed up the mech to stand on the shoulder, "Hey! There's one of our homes."

"She's right!" Arin chimed in, standing before the portal that is directed to the Crossroads, "That's Ninjago, our home."

I counted the number of gates, "Fourteen, fifteen, sixteen. Huh, one gate for each of the realms?"

"Yes..."

We all gasped at hearing a sudden voice, "Master Wu...?" I turned to face the spirit of my teacher, "It's really you, isn't it?" I gave a small smile.

The spirit nodded, "Yes..."

I was relieved to see him again, "We've missed you so much! What happened to you in the Merge? Are you-are you departed?" I grew fearful of the bad news.

Arin had questions of his own, "And why are you suddenly appearing now?!"

"So my great uncle's a ghost? Cool!" My daughter said.

"Horns..." Master Wu said, looking up.

And he was right, the horns of the Dragon Matriarch are on the ceiling of the Monastery.

Arin pieced everything together, "Horns...? He doesn't mean..."

I used a flashlight mode the mech had, "He does.." I confirmed his suspicions.

"The crowns of the murdered dragons!" The younger Ninja gasped before stepping forward towards my master, "Wait! Master Wu, Ras told me you caused the Merge. Did you?"

Emma and I looked at Arin in shock, "Arin, Ras is a liar," I told him, "There's no way Master Wu would ever-"

"I need to know!"

He grew more serious, "Did YOU cause the Merge?"

"Yes..."
