Amber POV-

I looked on Tiggy's instagram. I hadn't been on there for a while. I was trying to do as August and Chad said, let it go.

I don't want to over stress. I know the baby I have inside me is a miracle after the previous miscarriage and if I lose this one, I don't know if I'll be able to make it.

But when Tanya came to me telling me how he beat Tiggy at her job, I just...you have to understand.

I have a very empathetic personality. I cannot see people suffer and be okay with it. It's that heart that made me help August when he was behind on rent, before he became the love of my life.

It's why I helped Dr. Maraj even though she literally almost ruined August's whole future.

It's why I helped Donielle.

Look I can't change that. It's me. When I see people hurting even if they have hurt me, I can't pass them up. My conscious won't let me.

And maybe it will be my Achilles Heel. You know there's this myth about where the word derived from.

****below is a direct quote from word info."

"Achilles was the son of Thetis and Peleus, the bravest hero in the Trojan war, according to Greek mythology.
When Achilles was born, his mother, Thetis, tried to make him immortal by dipping him in the River Styx.
As she immersed him, she held him by one heel and forgot to dip him a second time so the heel she held could get wet too.

Therefore, the place where she held him remained untouched by the magic water of the Styx and that part stayed mortal or vulnerable.

To this day, any weak point is called an "Achilles' heel"."

Maybe this heart I have will be my down fall. I don't know. All I know is that Tanya coming to me was a sign that I must help this girl. What are the chances of that? One in a million. I don't want her blood on my conscious.

Her instagram had a quote from a week ago that she posted.

"It's better to break your own heart by leaving, rather than having that person break your heart every day you're with them."

"Shonda where Tiggy at I know she here." I heard Trey's voice at my older sister's front door.

"She doesn't want to talk to you. Goodbye." Shonda tried to close the door, but he held the door with his foot.

"Tiggy! Baby I know you in there. At least talk to me." He called inside.

I stood at the bedroom door out of view. Watching them. I had caught him calling his ex-wife. Telling her how much he was sorry, he loved her, missed her, wanted to make love to her and wanted her back to make it work for their daughter.

I couldn't believe it because he told me he was threw. I waited until he went out the next morning and took the bus to my sister's apartment. I've been here for two days.

"Move before I call the fucking police." Shonda yelled.

"Your yelling doesn't affect me and I'm not leaving until I speak to the love of my life."

"Why didn't you tell your wife that?" I yelled down the hall.

"What are you taking about Tiggy?" He played stupid.

"Tiggy stay back there." Shonda told me.

"You know what I'm talking about I heard you talking to your wife on the phone telling her you didn't want a divorce and that you loved her." I came to the front. Keeping a safe distance behind Shonda.

Shonda looked at me angry. I know I messed up, but I had been holding my anger in.

Trey pushed passed her in toward me.

"Tiggy I didn't mean that shit. I said what I had to say, because she won't let me see my daughter."

I looked at him unconvinced.

"It's the God's honest truth. I could care less about her, it's my daughter I want. And if I got to say that to get a chance to see my daughter so be it."

"I'm sick of the lies Trey."

"When have I ever lied to you?"

"You told me you were gonna divorce her and we were going to get married this summer. You told me you would stop hitting me. You've done none of that."

He wiped his hand down his mouth.

"When she kicked you out, where were you staying huh?" He was talking about when Shonda kick me after we had a huge fight, when she found out me and Trey were dating. She said she wouldn't condone that.

"Who put clothes on your back? Shoes on your feet? Who took you up there to the college to enroll you on my dime cause I wanted to see you successful. Who put that ring on your finger?"

"What does it matter if we're not getting married?"

"As long as you got that ring that's my promise."

"Whatever Trey, leave." I fanned him.

"Don't put your hand in my face." He stared me down.

"Okay Trey go."

He looked at Shonda.

"Let that bitch get into your head if you want. She's jealous of what we have. She can't keep a man so she trying to break us up."

"Get out now!" Shonda got her pepper spray from the kitchen drawer and sprayed his eyes.

He yelled in pain and she pushed him on the other side of the door and hurried and locked it.

"Antigone I have enough drama and it seems every time you come around more follows. You got to go. I can't have crazy niggas around me like that. I told you from the beginning to stay away. You can stay for tonight, but tomorrow you got to go."

"Is Antigone jones at work today?" I went up to work today hoping someone knew her whereabouts.

"No she hasn't been to work since last week." A young white lady in her 20s said.

"Here's my card I'm a prosecutor with State, if she comes back telling I am here to help her."

"I sure will."

"I know where she is." A young lady black lady who looked to be in her early 20s came up to me.

She had a name tag on that read "déjà."

"Ashley may I leave to show her where Tiggy is."

She shook her head yes.

Me and the young lady left. Wherever she is, I hope she's fine.
