Chapter 7

There was a little boy laying on his bed.
He was six years and had wolf ears on the top of his head, and had on pajamas with pictures of cars all over them, his bed was in a small room with toys all over the floor.
"KIDS, BREAKFAST IS READY!" A woman outside the room yelled. The boy slowly woke up and realized what she said. "Coming mommy!" The boy yelled as he got out of bed. He ran out of the room and hurried down the stairs, once all the way down he turn into the kitchen and saw a woman in the kitchen, she had long brown hair and blue eyes, she wore a pink t-shirt and blue jeans, and she also had on pink slippers. "Good morning mommy." The boy said. The woman turned to face him, "Oh, good morning Jason, did you sleep well?" She asked him. "Yep." Jason said happily. "That's good, now go eat your breakfast. It's on the table." She said while rubbing in between his wolf ears.
"Okay." Jason said before heading to the table. Once there he climbed onto his chair and saw his breakfast, it was pan cakes with eggs and bacon. Lots of bacon. Jason looked up from his food and saw two men sitting at the table with him. One had wolf ears on his head, he also had on a white button up shirt, some jeans. and nice shoes, he had short black hair and brown eyes with glasses over them. The other also had wolf ears and looked five years older then Jason, he wore a plane black t-shirt and some jeans with holes in them, he also had black hair that was shorter then the other ones hair, and had brown eyes. "Good morning daddy, good morning Derek." Jason said before stabbing his fork into his eggs. "Good morning Jason." His father said before taking a bite of his own breakfast. "Morning." Derek said not bothering to look up from his plate. They all sat there quietly as they ate there breakfast. But Jason smelled something burning, he turned and saw that the kitchen was on fire and his mother was no longer there. Jason got scared and turned to his father, but he and Derek were also gone. "Daddy?" Jason asked, but no one answered. Jason then saw that more of the fire was surrounding him, "MOMMY?! DADDY?! DEREK?!" Jason yelled, but no one answered. Jason moved into a corner to get away from the fire, he then started screaming for help. "HELP! SOMEONE!" He screamed, but still no one answered. "HEEEEEELP!!!" He screamed in terror. Then, heard a loud whistle and woke up.

It was all a dream.

Jason on quickly sat up on his bed breathing heavily, startled about the dream he just had. He turned and saw Ruby with a whistle in her hand and Wiess, Blake, and yang next to her, and they were all in there school uniforms, "Good morning sleepy head." Ruby said in a cheerful tone. Jason slowly started to calm down, "What. The. Hell." Jason said a little confused. "Are you alright? You look like you just saw a ghost." Yang said in a mocking tone. Jason paused for a moment to try and think about his dream, but was interrupted by Yang who threw a pillow at his face. "What was that for?" Jason asked. "I was just making sure you're alright, you seem a little disturbed by something." Yang said, a little concerned. Jason Jason got out of bed and stood up to stretch. "I'm fine.just a weird dream, that's all." Jason said trying to hide how freaked out he was. "Why did you wake me up with a whistle?" Jason asked Ruby. "Well, today is our first day of class so I want all of us to be awake and ready for it." Ruby said answering his question. "And we're unpacking, and cleaning." Blake said as she picked books off the floor and put them on a shelf. "Well, I need too change." Jason said as he grabbed his uniform out of his bag and headed to the bathroom. He changed quickly and got out to see all the beds in a pile, "How did you do that so fast?" Jason asked. "How did you change into a beacon uniform so quickly?" Yang asked to counter his question. "Fair point." Jason said as he walked to the door. "Why are you leaving now?" Ruby asked Jason, he grabbed a watch and saw it was eight fifty, he was going to be late. "I just want to get too class early, I'll let you ladies fix this whole bed thing you made, it should take only five minutes, so see ya." Jason said as he opened the door and left he then started sprinting down the hall. "CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP!"
Jason yelled as he ran. He made it to the end of the hall and turned left heading down the stairs as fast as he could, once down he went out the door and ran across the court yard and entered a building, he ran down a hall and turned right to see his class room filled with students that were chatting with each other, since his class hadn't started yet he walked into the room and took a seat and started catching his breath. "I. Freaking. Made it." Jason said in between breaths. "Why good morning Jason, where is the rest of you're team?" His teacher, professor port asked, asked. Once Jason caught his breath he answered his question. "There still cleaning up a mess they made in our room, they should be done right about..." Jason looked at his watch and saw it go from eight fifty four, to eight fifty five. "Now." Jason said. "Well, let's hope that they get here soon." Professor port said as he gave Jason a book. Jason then opened a book that was given to him to start studying early, but was interrupted when a paper ball hit the back of his head. "What the hell?" Jason said as he looked around to find who threw it at him, he saw Cardin Winchester laughing with his friends and Jason new who threw it at him, but he decided to ignore it so that he didn't get in trouble, and if he got in trouble Glenda would deal with him. And he didn't want that. "Alright students, class is about to begin." Professor port said making everyone get to there seats. Just then, the rest of his team and Juan's team which is known as team JNPR ran in behind them, Jason team mates ran to the seats next to him and sat down to catch there breath. "Why hello fellow team mates, how are you?" Jason asked in a mocking tone. "You knew what time it was when you left, didn't you?" Blake asked, still catching her breath. "Yeah, I did." Jason said with a smirk on his face. "Why didn't you tell us?!" Wiess asked in frustration. "You four woke me up, with a really loud whistle." Jason said answering her question. Wiess tried to say something but was interrupted by professor port. "Good morning class, today we will be learning more about the creatures of grim, or as I like to call them, prey. Ha ha!" Professor port said, thinking he was being funny, but no one laughed, but the professor decided to continue anyway. While the rest of Jason's team was paying attention to professor port, Jason was starring at his desk, thinking about that dream he had. It seemed like the people in his dream were his family, but he never knew them, he did know that they died in a fire but only because he was found outside of the burning building laying on the ground unconscious, he didn't know why he couldn't remember them, if he tried to remember he would just get a headache, but that didn't stop him from trying every now and then. Just then, Jason was interrupted from his thoughts by Ruby cheering, "GO WIESS! REPRESENT TEAM RWBY+J!" She yelled. "What's going on?" Jason asked Blake. "Wiess is fighting a grim to demonstrate her skills, weren't you paying attention?" She asked as she waved a flag that said RWBY+J on it. "When did you get a flag?" Jason asked. "Ruby made a few of these last night." Blake said. "Of course she did." Jason said as he watched the fight. "WIESS! HIT IT IN THE STOMACH, THERES NO ARMOR THERE!" Ruby yelled trying to help Wiess. "STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO!" Wiess yelled back in a harsh tone, making Ruby upset. "Is it me, or does Wiess seem a little, what's the word..?" Yang asked herself out loud. "Bitchy?" Jason asked, answering her question with another question. Jason was then hit on the top of the head with a book. "No swearing in class." Ruby said to him, holding a book, making Blake and Yang laugh a little. Jason then noticed that the fight was over and professor port started talking. "Well done miss Schnee, it seems we are in the presence of a fine huntress." Professor port said in a cheerful tone. "That's it for today class, you all get the rest of the day without class to look around beacon grounds, and remember that tomorrow is miss Glenda's class so don't be late." Professor port said as everyone left the room. "Well that was fast." Jason said as he exited his seat. Him and the other's exited the room, once out Ruby chased after Wiess, "So, what now?" Yang asked Blake and Jason. "I'm going to the library and pick up some books." Blake said. "I'm just going to head to our room and take a nap." Jason said. "Ok, Well i'm gonna go walk around for a bit, see ya." Yang said as she waved and walked away. "Bye." Jason said to her. Jason turned to see Blake but saw she was already gone, "wow, left without saying bye." He said to himself as he walked to his dorm. Once Jason was outside he stretched his arms out, "I feel like I was in there forever." Jason said to himself as he stretched. "hey Jason." Someone said to him. Jason turned and saw Ruby walking up to him. "Hey Ruby, what's up?" Jason asked her. "Oh nothing, just wondering around." Ruby said, sounding a little upset. "What's wrong?" Jason asked her. "What? Nothing's wrong, what are you talking about?" Ruby said. "Ruby, I'm kinda good at reading people, and I can tell something's wrong. So what is it?" Jason asked with his arms crossed. Ruby then sighed. "Well, Wiess thinks she should be team leader, and I think she should." Ruby said as she looked at the ground. "Why do you think that?" Jason asked her. "I don't know, it just doesn't feel right letting girl who was moved up two years early lead a team. I just don't think I'm ready." Ruby said. Jason saw she was still upset and decided to try to cheer her up. "Well, i gotta go work on my sword, do you wanna come help me?" He asked Ruby. Ruby then started to smile and then started to jump up and down excitement. "Can I hold you're sword?" She asked him in a cheerful tone. "I'll tell you what, you help me repair and clean it and you can play with my sword as much as you want." Jason paused and thought about what he just said. "I didn't mean tha- what I mean't was- we should just go." Jason said a little embarrassed, which made Ruby laugh slightly. "Ok then, let's go, Race ya." Ruby said before activating her semblance and running towards the weapon locker room. "God damn it Ruby!" Jason yelled before running after her.

Once Jason caught up with Ruby, she was standing outside the locker room waiting for him, Jason stopped in front of her to catch his breath, "give, me, a, minute." Jason said in between breathes. "Are you ok slowpoke?" Ruby said in a mocking tone. Jason looked at her with an angry look, "Yeah yeah, keep talking crater face." Jason said back at her with a smirk on his face, Which made Ruby a little mad. Then, Ruby and Jason both walked into the weapons locker room to find the weapons, once Jason found his locker he entered his password and it opened up. Inside it, death wish was mounted in the center of the locker with a shelf above it that had weapon magazines and a few dust tubes, some supplies to clean his sword, and some spare weapon parts. Jason grabbed death wish to take a closer look at it,it had red stains on it because of the test so it had to be cleaned, and the chain was damaged so he also had to replace that. "hey Ruby, do you have a cloth I can borrow?" Jason asked Ruby. "I think so, hang on." Ruby said before going through her locker, she then pulled out a small white cloth. "I use this to clean crescent rose, will this work?" She asked as she handed it to him. "Yeah, it will." Jason said as he grabbed the cloth. Jason then grabbed a small tube out of his locker and poured it on his sword, once done he put the tube back and started rubbing the cloth on his sword. "So, are you still upset about the whole team leader thing?" Jason asked Ruby as he cleaned his sword. "Yeah, a little bit." Ruby said as she looked at the ground. "Well you should be proud of yourself, you made it to beacon academy, and you're on the same team as you're sister." Jason said as he finished cleaning his sword. "I know, but what if Ozpin made a mistake by making me team leader?" Ruby asked him, Jason then laughed slightly. "Trust me, he didn't make a mistake." Jason said as he grabbed a new chain for his sword. "But I'm not a good leader." Ruby said still upset. "Then become one." Jason said while he pushed a small button on his swords engine which made the old chain pop off the blade. "What do you mean?" Ruby asked him. Jason then started putting the new chain on his sword. "I mean start studying, you may not be a good leader now, so work hard and study more, you can't be the best at something right away." Jason said as he worked on his sword. "I suppose that makes sense, but-" Ruby was then interrupted by Jason. "No buts. Buts are for sitting, if you want to become a huntress, you have to start studying, so I suggest you start doing that soon." Jason said. Ruby then thought about it for a bit and decided what she should do. "You're right, I have to work hard and study. I'm heading to the library now." Ruby said in a cheerful tone. "Thanks Jason." Ruby said before activating her semblance and running off, Jason turned and saw she was gone. "Uh, didn't you want to play with my sword?" Jason paused then slammed his hand into his face. "I really need to shut up." Jason said to himself. He then looked at his sword and saw it was good as new, so he put everything in his locker and left.
Once Jason was outside again he decided to walk around some more and have some time to himself, but he was walking for so long he didn't notice it was getting late, he looked at his watch and saw it was seven fifteen. "Already? I didn't even eat lunch." Jason said to himself as his stomach started grumbling. "Man I'm starving." Jason said to himself as he walked. Jason then heard a beep come from his scroll, he opened it and saw a message from Yang that was sent to everyone,

Yang: I have pizza, if anyone wants it.
Jason: I'm on my way!

After Jason replied to her message, he put his scroll away and started running to his room as fast as he could. Once outside his room he stopped and quickly opened the door and looked around, Blake and Yang, who were eating pizza, in there pajamas and were the only ones there besides Jason, he then looked at Yang. "Where's the pizza?" Jason asked her, Yang then pointed at the pizza box on his bed. "I ordered two pizza's that ones yours." Yang said before taking a bite out of her pizza slice. Jason grabbed the pizza box on his bed and opened it to see the toppings. It was a meat lovers pizza, which is Jason's favorite. "Thanks Yang, I haven't eaten anything today." Jason said before take a huge bite out of his pizza. "No problem. Say, have you seen Ruby or Wiess anywhere?" Yang asked. Jason finished chewing before answering her question. "Ruby should be at the library, but I have no clue where Wiess is." Jason said before taking another bite of his pizza. "Ruby's at the library?" Yang asked in confusion. "Yeah, she wants to get a few books for studying." Jason said once he was done chewing. Jason then finished the rest of his pizza and threw the box away, he grabbed some of his clothes and walked into the bathroom. "Be right back." Jason said before closing the door. Once he was changed, he exited the bathroom, He wore a white t-shirt and black sweat pants as pajamas. "Well, good night." Jason said to Blake and Yang before throwing himself onto his bed. "You can't seriously be going to bed now can you?" Blake asked him, But Jason responded with a snore. Then, a smile grew on Yang's face. "I have an idea." Yang said before reaching into her bag and pulled out a mark. "Yang, what scheme are you planning?" Blake asked her. "You'll see." Yang said before laughing in an evil way.
