"Uhm..." I stuttered. I had absolutely no clue as to what I would say.

"Whose is this?" Dad asked. Everybody else left the room, making it just me, Dad and Uncle Louis.

They came closer to me, until I was backed up to the corner. I coward back a little from seeing their faces.

"Mine." I said in a small voice. They chuckled.

"We know that that's not yours." Uncle Louis said.

"It is!" I exclaimed.

"I didn't see you walk out with a jacket on. Let alone it smell like a guy." Dad said. I sighed, thinking of a quick excuse.

"Last time Uncle Greg came over, he left his cologne here and I took it." I told them.

If there's anything I can do, it's lie. I am an amazing liar. They tried fooling me by saying that if you lie your ears turn red, but I didn't believe that.

"Right. Because you're telling the truth." Dad said.

"I am!" I yelled at him.

"Do not raise your voice at me, Evelyn Winter." He said, sternly.

"How am I not supposed to raise my voice if you are yelling at me?!" I yelled again.

"I did not yell at you! Now I am!" He yelled. Whatever.

"Whatever. But I'm not lying." I said, crossing my arms over my chest.

"We just want to know whose jacket it is, Evelyn, and why you have it." Uncle Louis asked.

"First of all, it's mine. Second of all, I have it because it's cold outside!" I said, moving my hands.

"Bullshit! Whose is it?" Dad asked through his clenched teeth.

"It's. Mine." I said, as if I was talking to a toddler.

"Evelyn, I'm going to ask you one more time to tell me whose it is." Uncle Louis said.

"What? Is it so bad that I sprayed cologne on my jacket?!" I yelled.

"Put it on." Dad said, shoving it in my hands.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"Put it on!" He yelled. I rolled my eyes and put it on.

Here's the thing... It's too big for me. Jack's skinny, but guys clothes are always bigger I guess.

"There!" I said, holding it up and a little tighter behind my back.

"Put your hands by your side." Uncle Louis said. I glared at him.

"Don't give him that look, Evelyn Winter. Do what he said." Dad said. I rolled my eyes, and put my hands by my side.

"Happy?" I asked.

"Knock it off." Dad said, giving me the look.

"That jacket's awfully big on you, Eve." Uncle Louis said.

"Plus, I have never even seen that jacket. Nor have I even bought one like that." Dad said, acting like he was confused.

"Just because you didn't buy it doesn't mean I didn't." I told him, crossing my arms.

"Where were you when you went out?" Dad asked, scooting closer to me and making me go back to the corner.
