Ashton made us wake up in the middle of the night saying we should head back because he dreamt about a tsunami striking. So we all hurried to the car and took off since he wouldn't stop bitching about it.
"This tsunami better hit us or I'll punch your curls off of your face" Luke growled starting the car, he just threw a short on and hopped on the car shirtless
"I'm telling you mate" Ash said buckling himself up and making sure Kira, Calum and Mikey had their seatbelt on
"Whatever just shut up I wanna sleep" Michael muttered from the back seat
Luke rested his knuckles on my thigh rubbing it back and forth
"I'm sorry we had to go" he whispered on my ear as Calum was fighting Ashton over the last bag of Doritos
"It's okay babe" I smile and kiss his cheek "These were the most perfect two and a half days"
He smiled back a bit and focused on the road as I turned the radio on. Just like on the way to go we stopped for lunch on the way back, Calum took over the wheel and Luke crashed with his head buried on my chest with heavy eyes. I rubbed his back to easy his tension.
We got back home for dinner but none of us wanted to say goodbye so we all drove to my place where Gammy welcomed us with homemade pizza and wine.
"Liza! Luke!" Zoe ran downstairs and jumped on Luke's arms, he almost fell on the floor because of how fast she was coming and how tired he was from the trip "I missed you guys" she kissed his cheek
"Hey, I don't get a kiss?" I pout with my hands on my hips
"Of course you do!" she leaned to kiss my cheek "But Luke has the beauty privilege" she says blushing and I open my mouth in shock, my own sister ditching me "No offense, Liza" she says
"Yeah, I'll join Gammy's team and spread bread crumbs over your bed" I say rolling my eyes with a giggle
"You're just jealous of my awesome looks" Luke says putting Zoe back on her feet
"Don't get started" I say with a warning look
We join everyone in the kitchen, Zoe sits between Michael and Ashton saying how she likes their hair
"It's like cotton candy" she plays with Michael's hair "And I love cotton candy"
"Please don't eat my hair" Mike says with pouty eyes
"Here, you look like you need some" Gammy pours wine on Luke's glass
"You're the best" He says smiling
"How was the trip?" Gammy asks sitting down to eat with us
"Great! Can't wait for the next one" Calum says filling his mouth with pizza "Kira got high as a kite"
"Yeah, I was the one throwing a stick at the sky screaming with the stars" she rolls her eyes and we laugh
"That was funny" I say and lean my head against Luke's shoulder feeling home for the first time ever.
I stand up and whisper on Luke's ear to follow me. We sit at the withe bench beneath the tree where he got me back days ago.
"What's up with you?" he asks bringing my skinny body to his lap
"I've been thinking" I start to chew my bottom lip
"Okay" he nods, encouraging me to keep going
"We should apply to a college and take off" I say slowly "Just like you said, take our things and leave" I looked into his blue eyes
"Really? I wasn't sure you were fond of that idea" He smiles nervously
