"Take out a pen and paper, so you can write this down", Harrison commands before he sits down and starts to log into his computer.
"Okay", I grab one of my notepads that I have on top of his cabinets before I take a seat in the chairs in front of his desk. It's only been three hours since we last spoke to Azarel and boy, Harrison looks frustrated. I notice his jawline is tense and his eyes are clouded with stress.
'Must be because of that Azarel guy teasing and embarrassing Harrison in front of us all', I thought.
Harrison is usually so calm and easygoing yet his attitude was easily defeated to this guy. 'He must be important or just a really big ass'.
"Inform Cynthia that we have two new members coming in today and that they will need to be examined for any injuries, knowing they come from Lunar Blue they will be injured', I paused moment before writing it down.
'So injuries are excepted from Lunar Blue, huh? Yup the guy was an ass. At least, I get to see Cynthia again. Even though she comes to cook for Harrison every morning, I am usually training out with Curler so I haven't seen her'.
Harrison suddenly grips my hand I was writing with , which brought my attention to his face. His lips shiver as he scrunches them together, "When you ask Icarus for a room for these new members, do so politely", he says furrowing his eyebrows.
"If he does anything out of the ordinary. Tell me immediately, you know why I am warning you, correct?", he removes his hand as I just start to write.
"Yeah, the files", I say. As an apprentice, I help both Steven and Harrison keep track of all the files and see which members are still in the pack. Even though, I've only been working with Harrison lately, I'm not complaining. As much as I hate the fact of anyone dying, people like Jasper sure deserve it. Jasper was what in human world is known as a dog fighter only he did it to his own kind. Icarus got Harrison's attention today at the games, Icarus was following a group of girls as they were playing which was why Harrison suddenly vanished when we saw him.
"Please try and form relationships with some members in the pack, Austry. They hardly see you but you want them to like you", he suddenly says.
'Okay? Is this a survival tip of yours or friendly advice on talking to criminals 101?'.
"Also, loosen up a bit", Harrison smiles.
'There goes his gloomy aura'.
"Totally!", I frowned. 'Loosen up! Yeah! In the human world, Steven would be in jail!'.
Harrison shakes his head as he laughs, "Your attitude hasn't changed since your first day here".
I look up, "How am I suppose to get use to this, Harrison?", I asked plainly, not amused.
"Look. I get it. You hate us..", he began.
"I don't hate you, Steven on the other hand is a total creeper".
He growls at me. Yup, never interrupt Harrison.
"Don't interrupt me or insult your Alpha!".
'So scary', I suppress the urge to smile. His face looks so ridiculous when he growls.
Harrison may be a "beta" but like he said, this pack is different their positions are leadership role not Gods or superiors. People can question them and suggest an opinion as long as the leaders don't abuse their power. If they did, all they say they're trying to build here would become rubbish, no member would trust them to obey, they did run from that type of tyranny.
